Normally, I don't really consider these little packs, but that rifle is tempting. BioWare gets it: semi-auto is always more fun and satisfying in videogames than full auto.
I prefer full auto, to be honest. But semi was an interesting change.

Same. The Revenant is still king, imho. The Mattock is a nice rifle, but not in the same league as the almight LMG.
That said, the Geth Pulse Shotty is an device of sheer genius. It's become my Shotty of choice. You want long range, short range? Done. You want massive single shot damage or more rapid, semi-auto fire? Done for both.
You want pretty vapour trails? Comes as a bonus. It rocks

Mattock seems like it would be a cool choice for the Vanguard or the Adept/Engineer.

The shotgun is absolutely nuts! My Vanguard loves it.

I just don't like small round bursts, like the vindicator. Either I want to anhillate them with a single shot with my widow, or I want to hold down the mouse button as a form of "oh ****, oh **** I'm going to die" mode. If I want to fire three rounds at a time I'll fire the three rounds at a time by myself, thank you very much.JaegerBane wrote...

Why was this dlc not included with the upcoming shadow broker dlc?
*I know why, but I'd love to hear a dev on this.
They can legally only put so much awesome into each DLC pack, if they were to include these in with the LotSB DLC pack they'd be breaking that law.

I am not sure whether they would break the law or not. because they didn't tell us that new weapons will be including with Liara shadow broker DLC. so selling separate is not illegal. it's all up to them. I don't see why. if you are game company to make more profit with the best game, you could do that the same thing. just look at other companies. they do the same thing. don't complain. I think that ME 2 has way more DLC than any other games in the history. just try to search something which game had really so many DLC like ME 2. I say NONE. ironically we appreciate for what Bioware does for us. I am not fully satisfied. but at least this game just gets better and better than I thought.

but then i tried the phalanx blue sighted pistol and what the hell! is that thing awesome! i cant put it away. theres no reason to not use the phalanx. im not lieing. there is absolutley no reeason to use anything else.
seeing these differnet types of weapons is awesome. it really adds to the value of the 3rd person shooter. thats great and all, but i really hope ME3 gives us some weapon mods similar to ME1 but more along the lines of laser sights and silencers instead of another weapon to choose. its alot of fun picking waht scope/silencer/barrell/attachment to load up into your guns. plus it makes it more of the so called "RPG" it claims to be.

According to this: http://www.giantbomb...-pack/30-57229/ Vanguards can overcharge the shotgun, then Charge an enemy and hit them, and THEN release the overcharge from the shotgun. So even Vanguards aren't without options.
The problem with that strategy is it only works when your enemy is alone.
If there's more than one, you're screwed if you try to charge the shotgun again. That and it has much less stopping power than a shotty like the Eviscerator.

Then along comes to Mattock which feels basically like an AR translation of the Locust. It makes AR training viable again, and gives Soldiers a much needed punch prior to the Revenant.
As for the Phalanx...It's awesome. Slower fire rate than the Carnifax, but laser-perfect (HA!) accuracy and a significant damage boost? Hell yeah!

Speaking of which, I feel bad for Thane.
He misses out on all the goodies from this pack.
