Normally, I don't really consider these little packs, but that rifle is tempting. BioWare gets it: semi-auto is always more fun and satisfying in videogames than full auto.

I prefer full auto, to be honest. But semi was an interesting change.

Same. The Revenant is still king, imho. The Mattock is a nice rifle, but not in the same league as the almight LMG.

That said, the Geth Pulse Shotty is an device of sheer genius. It's become my Shotty of choice. You want long range, short range? Done. You want massive single shot damage or more rapid, semi-auto fire? Done for both.

You want pretty vapour trails? Comes as a bonus. It rocks :D

After watching the vids, I'm definitely getting shot gun training for my Sentinel. Combining the exploded shields plus that shotty will be pure carnage.

Mattock seems like it would be a cool choice for the Vanguard or the Adept/Engineer.

Damn, I have three characters: an infiltraitor, a vanguard and a sentinel specialized in sniper rifles. None have access to assault rifles, but damn... that Mattock weapon looks awesome. The M5 phalanx looks neat too. More ammo than the handcannon, but still packs a punch. And since I have played RE4 a lot, I think I will welcome the laser sight.

I just downloaded it.

The shotgun is absolutely nuts! My Vanguard loves it. :)

I just don't like small round bursts, like the vindicator. Either I want to anhillate them with a single shot with my widow, or I want to hold down the mouse button as a form of "oh ****, oh **** I'm going to die" mode. If I want to fire three rounds at a time I'll fire the three rounds at a time by myself, thank you very much.

I can't wait to try the Mattock. It reminds me of the oh-so-lovable FAL from Modern Warfare 2.

Man after seeing the video I'm sold on the Mattock (for some reason I want to call it the MattLock..lol), and I like the M-5 pistol the laser sight would go prefect with my Visor.

Why was this dlc not included with the upcoming shadow broker dlc?

*I know why, but I'd love to hear a dev on this.

They can legally only put so much awesome into each DLC pack, if they were to include these in with the LotSB DLC pack they'd be breaking that law.

holly ****. that's one hell of powerful weapons pack ever Bioware released so far. it is so powerful. none of enemies even can resist. I guess that shadow broker could be that much powerful to be killed by that certain weapons? I doubt. but that looks nice.

I am not sure whether they would break the law or not. because they didn't tell us that new weapons will be including with Liara shadow broker DLC. so selling separate is not illegal. it's all up to them. I don't see why. if you are game company to make more profit with the best game, you could do that the same thing. just look at other companies. they do the same thing. don't complain. I think that ME 2 has way more DLC than any other games in the history. just try to search something which game had really so many DLC like ME 2.  I say NONE. ironically we appreciate for what Bioware does for us. I am not fully satisfied. but at least this game just gets better and better than I thought.

dudes! i love the geth shotty. ive never had much success with recruiting garrus becauase it takes me a while to get through those two krogans, i think garn is ones name. loaded up my new vangaurd with the pistol and the shotty and i stood toe-to-toe with garn and killed him flat out with the geth shotty. you NEED that gun if you dont have the claymore. the power build up is awesome too. i seriously dont think i want to use anything else....

but then i tried the phalanx blue sighted pistol and what the hell! is that thing awesome! i cant put it away. theres no reason to not use the phalanx. im not lieing. there is absolutley no reeason to use anything else.

seeing these differnet types of weapons is awesome. it really adds to the value of the 3rd person shooter. thats great and all, but i really hope ME3 gives us some weapon mods similar to ME1 but more along the lines of laser sights and silencers instead of another weapon to choose. its alot of fun picking waht scope/silencer/barrell/attachment to load up into your guns. plus it makes it more of the so called "RPG" it claims to be.

According to this: http://www.giantbomb...-pack/30-57229/ Vanguards can overcharge the shotgun, then Charge an enemy and hit them, and THEN release the overcharge from the shotgun. So even Vanguards aren't without options.

The problem with that strategy is it only works when your enemy is alone.

If there's more than one, you're screwed if you try to charge the shotgun again. That and it has much less stopping power than a shotty like the Eviscerator.

Also, I feel the Mattock is the answer to the Locust. When the Locust was released with Kasumi's DLC, Sentinels and Adepts suddenly no longer needed to take AR training to have good DPS.

Then along comes to Mattock which feels basically like an AR translation of the Locust. It makes AR training viable again, and gives Soldiers a much needed punch prior to the Revenant.

As for the Phalanx...It's awesome. Slower fire rate than the Carnifax, but laser-perfect (HA!) accuracy and a significant damage boost? Hell yeah!

fyi the geth shotty is the best gun in the game. i played around a little more with it and im one hitting everything on hardcore. shielded armored, from range too. its a very addictave gun with the power build ups! you gotta use it. i wasnt even using a ammo mod i noticed too. that things awesome. the phalanx is still great i mean nothing beats a laser sight! holla!

I'll take the Phalanx over the Carnifex every day. I've already given it to every pistol wielding squaddie.

Speaking of which, I feel bad for Thane.

He misses out on all the goodies from this pack.
