I see people complaning about having to pay for DLC, In really dont see why, you buy a game, you can play it with or without DLC, if you want to buy it then do so, if you dont. THEN DONT.

unfortunately, those who buy crappy stuff encourage Developers to squeeze more money in the future... so those blindly buying everything without a second thought screw the rest of us in the long run.

The AR is great. Just shoot the upper torso/head and it stuns an enemy. Given that the whole magazin can take the enemy down, that thing kills it without any backfire.
Also the pistol...my new favourite sniper-rifle. Shot the heads off the boom-squad-vorcha in the venting-room on omega before they locked onto me.
One point just bothers me: Is it just my installation, or isn't the Phalanx folding together?
May just be cosmetic but the folding is one of the best features in ME-Weaponry.

Too much micro-DLC and it starts to look as if we're being sold the game "as it should have been", piece by piece.

I have to agree with this, while I usually buy this kind of DLC (mostly because I like it and also like supporting Bioware for ME3) its really starting to feel like all those weapons, armors and some missions should have been part of the initial ME2, to me it feels really different to experience those things on my 20th playthrough (or maybe even more) than it would on my first time.

Given the number of heavy weapons (8 I think) I'm not sure if any more are in the works but I'd go for a rail gun..... or a gatling gun, a portable geth Colossus cannon, etc.

Do you realize how much space Mass Effect 2 takes up on the 2 discs without the DLC? Have you seen the amount of space all of the DLC has taken up so far? We're not playing on blu-ray here people. Come on. Even if it was cut out of the game, if it was in it wouldn't have fit, or we'd be popping in another 1-2 discs. Plus theres the extra wait for Mass Effect 2 to even come out. Stop complaining over 2$ worth of DLC. You don't have to buy it. The game has enough guns as it is.

Yeah, looks like we will not get any new heavy weapons. And it is sad. I think we all want Gatling gun and RailgunYakko77 wrote...

Games don't have to be limited to 2 disc. Off the top of my head FFXIII, LO, Blue Dragon, Star Ocean all have 3 or more discs.

Actually, I believe that in the codex it explains that all the guns in the ME universe are based on rail gun technology and have been further accelerated by mass effect fields (I believe in the ME1 codex it says this, it could also be in the ME2 codex though). I think the lore reason that the bullets don't go through multiple people is because of all the high-tech defenses (such as shields, barriers, etc.).drkaa wrote...

True but we're asking for something that shoots more than a sliver of metal sheered off a metal block with a laser or however the ammo actually works (heat sinks aren't technically "ammo") in ME. By railgun I want something that essentially shoot a railroad spike and as noted can go through multiple enemies if they're lined up properly.

Yes. Or at least, they should because I don't see any reason why they shouldn't.

ME doesn't really feature hordes of enemies, so that would be extremely situational... you'd probably only get a couple occasions to use that feature (and if you're split second late, there it goes).
That's what Cain is for - essentially a super-railgun whose slug's sheer kinetic energy creates a f--k all explosion on impact, killing multiple enemies regardless of them being aligned or not. Or at least that's how Codex describes it anyway (in game it looks more like it launches some sort of mini-rocket

Well I hope you pay a little more attention to my posts from now on beacuase I never complained about it or its price, in fact I was happy to see new dlc (as I always am because I love this game) I simply said that, to me, the whole 'DLC thing' is not working. Is not about the money, is just that i think it would make more sense if some of it was released within the original game.

I never said that. But for Bioware to add more content to the game, it would have meant a 3rd disc would be required. They already have enough trouble with 2 discs worth of content. Like I said, this isn't blu-ray where you don't really have to worry much about space. FFXIII had about 3 or 4 discs for the 360, but one for the PS3.

If it wasn't created yet, how would it make sense for them to release it with the original game?

I'm not so sure about that. I don't think Bioware would want new players to immediately have the weapons from the Firepower Pack at the start of the game.
