While I see where you are coming from, but try seeing where we're coming from.

Imagine paying for a hotdog. Howd you feel if you had to pay extra for the bun?

To use your metaphor, we have already sold you a hotdog with bun and a tasty selection of condaments. We are offering you a bag of chips to go with it. You do not need to eat the chips to enjoy the hotdog, which is a full meal all by it's self, but some people like chips and are want them if they are offered.

The chips are still optional and do not prevent the hotdog from being awesome with or without the chips.

I frankly don't feel taken advantage of.  I got more than my money's worth when I bought the game and I got more than $2 worth of fun out of this weapons pack.

Whether or not you would have liked to have seen something in the core game or not isn't the issue; because it goes without saying that any consumer would always like more for their money. What you should really be asking yourself is do you think you got your $60 worth when you bought the game? If you answered yes then you were satisfied with your purchase and considering the quality and quantity of entertainment that the game provided I'd imagine you'd have to concede that you got your money's worth.

So, if you got your money's worth out of the core game then you can raise the question of whether you're getting your money's worth out of the DLC. I was a tad disappointed with the Alternate Appearance Pack and the Equalizer pack which both felt a little light for $2. But; Bioware seemed to react rather well to the criticism they got over those and delivered more substantial content with the Aegis pack and then even more substantial content with the Firepower pack.

I've gotten well more than $2 worth of entertainment out of these guns and if Bioware releases another weapons pack of this quality, I'll be quite content in paying them another $2.

Agreed.

sorry for just taking that sig. but its awesome. anyway just wanted to post to say that I really liked the new weapons except the pistol because of the horrible firerate. And if any devs read this please consider patching the geth pulse rifle so it looks right on the characters. I'd use it on more of my characters other than legion and grunt if it looked right.

Oh. I love it when they try to justify taking advantage of their customers. Yes, Bioware you have a very loyal fan base, we love your games and we’re grateful that you’re still making content for us but it doesn’t mean you need to sell us everything in separate packs.

I'm completely for supporting game developers and I do buy DLC but why can't weapons and armour be included in the larger DLC packs? We get nothing for Overlord and now weapons are sold separately just before Shadow Broker. We used to get something with them (even the DA:O ones get weapons or armour). Why not combine them and give us a good quality DLC to buy?

I for one appreciate having something new to play with between Overlord and LotSB.

You want answer to why we can't get better deals?

because most dont know when they get the short end of the stick, they either dont see it, or dont care, so the rest are screwed up from then on.

Bioware knows most of its fan base., wont care getting a bad deal.

lol. I didn't say you were dumb. Fans are fans. Every game has a group that will buy, protect, fight for anything and everything on behalf of the company.

The bigger that pool grows, the more wiggle room the company has to raise or lower quality.... worst case scenario... FF games. I'll be 80 yrs old, and they will still squeeze that poor title lol.

Anyways off topic.

Tomorrow, a DLC can come out saying "160 for..... changing......the head lights on the Kodak".... and it will still be a good deal for some.

You think is a good deal no matter what they come up with... I dont...your view is skewed because your a fan, my view is skewed because I dont got very deep pockets.... if any :P

I disagree, therefore I'm a fanboy.

I think I preferred being called just dumb.

I completely agree with you, weapons and armor should be included with dlc like overlord and soon to be liara dlc.

I may just be a raving, dumb fanboy, but some of us have more money than others. I don't think people should be held hostage, having to pay for big DLC chunks just to get new weapons.

I always play soldier, but a lot of folks play other types and are very pleased with the new shotgun and assault rifle, and say so on this forum.

And what is bad about a fanboy? it works for you?

When it comes, to certain things, most of us are fan boys.... I certainly was a halo fanboy.... til I lost my old job. Had I not, I would sitll be one.

You just have deeper pockets... or access to someone with deeper pockets than the minority who dont.

Is not a matter of what the quality is... or if they didn't do a good job... is the micro managing as someone else put it of DLC's.... that is raising a lot of questions. And the lack of common sense on some issue from the core game.

All joking aside, SH, that's still an ad hominem logical fallacy. You're still saying my judgement is biased while yours is not and I'm willing to buy "bad" content because I must have money to burn. You may believe that, but it doesn't help you make a case.

I said before, both of our views are biased based on our own circumstances. Playing the victim doesn't help your case

lol.

You have money to burn, so you dont care.

I dont have money to burn, so I want things cheaper.
Thats the basis for all of this.

Now, whether or not the content is good or bad is another issue.

OK.

I'm "playing the victim" — but you're the one complaining about extra charges.

I'm the one with "money to burn," but you want weapons packaged with "big chunk" DLC so somebody can't drop a few coins just to get a a better vanguard, or whatever.

Edited P.S. -- I'll be out of the office for a while, so let 'er rip, SH.

I have cash to burn, but I'm not going to buy three in-game weapons for two dollars just on general principle.

Plus, seriously, there's no need to make a ridiculously easy game even easier.

Chris, could you, or any of the devs hop in and take a look at the LotSB annoucement thread aswell? Because there have been several unanswered questions around the release of your new upcoming DLC. Would be much appreciated! :)

Yeah, good post. In my case it also helped that I just happened to have 160 BW points left. :wizard: Otherwise I probably would've waited...

That's also a point, but to each his own.
