@Thomasa,No you just have to acess the gun switcher once you have it installed...On the ship or the begining of any mission once you have the ship.

I just tried the Phalanx on my Engineer, while Zaeed used the Mattock, and Miranda also the Phalanx.

What should I take on the Collector ship, Shotgun or AR training?



I'm leaning towards shotgun a bit, since the Locust SMG is essentially an AR.

its a weapons pack its always worth it, and $2 is nothing i can stand around at work for a few minutes doing nothing to pay that off

Just downloaded. The mattock is awesome. Even with squadmates they fire alot of round downrange and all on target. Probably the best overall rifle outside revvy

Also. Is it me or did they also tweak the vindicator to fire thre round bursts intead of five?

This kit really worth it, powerful guns and pretty much the best assault rifle out there that is.

I picked up the Firepower pack on a whim and it was well worth it. I'm on a second playthrough with a Vanguard and it has greatly rounded out its play style.



Mattock- Until I used the Mattock, I felt bad about choosing the assault rifle training instead of the krogan shotgun for my vanguard. I especially regretted it after getting the Locust. The Mattock fills a nice roll of accurate mid to long range damage dealer for enemies with no shields. I keep the Locust for removing sheilds at distance and then switch to the Mattock to finish the job. This weapon really helps with thinning the heard from a distance before charging in and cleaning up whats left.



Props to the dev team that worked on the Mattock. It has an awesome brute,hearty, solid look to it that is very satisfying to look at and best rifle sound for sure. Even the name Mattock sounds bad ass. Favorite main weapon for sure (only because I can't use Cain 24/7 .)



Geth Shotgun- I like charging in as a vanguard, knocking back an enemy, and while they get back on their feet, I have a fully charged plasma round waiting for them to taste.



Phalanx- I don't really use pistols that much, but the laser sight was cool.

Ok so I bought the Firepower back a while back, but LotSB was the first time I got to test the new weapons.  I have to say I LOVE the Mattock, it is a dream for the carefull aimer.  It tears through unshielded enemies and does a pretty good job against armor, though less so against shields and barriers. 

I was wanting a good semi-auto, high damage rifle.  It feels like a scaled up version of a hand cannon, you guys really out-did yourselves on this one.

More DLCs coming in the future haha. Might as well just buy the closest and save the rest of the points.

I just want to put my 2 cents in here. I'd totally buy these gun/armor/appearance packs if they came with an N7 mission or two; just a tiny little area where you do a simple mission (no VO necessary) and as a reward, get the guns/armor/pieces (and some money to cover the gas and probes expended, maybe a bit more). In fact, if future gun/appearance packs have this feature, I'll go back and buy the gun/appearance packs that I've passed up so far.

This.  The Mattock is an assault rifle the way the universe intended it to be:  semiauto only.  No spray-and-pray untrained terrorist-style shooting.  Squeeze trigger - BOOM -squeeze trigger - BOOM.

The sniper rifle is sweet too.  Three-round-burst shots make it virtually as effective as the Viper but semiauto.

Yep, Mattock is hands-down my favorite gun in the game. It was hard to pick the Widow over Assault Rifle training with my Infiltrator, but I've got a few other games with the Mattock so I went with the Widow. It just feels SO satisfying and fun to use.



Geth Shotgun is great, too. Very powerful, though I still don't use shotguns very much. But it definitely makes shotgun-wielding squadmates a much more viable choice for EVERY mission.



And the Phalanx is my pistol of choice for all characters. This is definitely the best mini-DLC BioWare released. Kudos to all involved!

Quick question, new time player within the last week or so.

I have downloaded all DLC and stuff, installed it- but I play through PC on steam account.

I load ME2 and await my new stuff I added, it tries to load cerberus network- then this message shows up.

"Connection to the Mass Effect 2 server has timed out. Try again later"

what's the deal, anyone know why this would happen?

Bacon, when that normally happens, I just try logging in again, sometimes the server seems to have issues connecting occationally.

Is there any word if the weapons from ME2 will be in ME3?  I'm hoping the M-96 Mattox makes it to the game.
