To balance its firepower (no pun intended)
I keep wondering... a game that has even slight RPG elements to it, with no multiplayer... where does over the top balancing comes into place?
.... I am sure the Spectre weapons of ME1... are not balanced at all. But... guess that is another game completely different all together.

In ME1, especially on harder difficulties, enemies could take more damage than the Mako, over-the-top-damage weapons were the only possibility to get a mission done in a civilized amount of time!
In ME2, even on Insanity, enemies die a lot easier (though they still can take more damage than the Hammerhead, ... nice ironic continuity, I could even think that was made on purpose!), so that kind of weapons just make the game ridiculously easy if everything dies the moment it enters your muzzle sight. ME2 is definetely more a shooter than ME1 was and I have to say I would find the game boring if I would happen to shoot with Cain-Nukes with the rate of fire of the Revenant since the first level...

Is like what, ammunition is at its all time high in 2100?.. Stock market for weapon industries crashed that made heat sinks incredibly expensive?... or in 2100, nobody has comed up with a nice neat idea, of adding a vest or pockets to armor, or nice shotgun like pockets to add more heat sinks to your overall count...
heheh I now there are armo upgrades for that kind of thing. But those upgrades should be to add to "reasonable" ammo loads, not because we fire gold bricks for ammo
Still, you mistunderstand, my point of balancing, is not regaring to power output, which can always be mitigated by players not using that weapon...
But my main beef is regarding the great idea of using ezzo as ammo. I know ME universe is in bad economic times but wow. when it hits home is when you realize how bad the situation really is

As for the DLC and cost and completeness of the game...
On the pro side, I received the game as a gift, didn't know about the DLC. I installed it, and immediately received the Cerberus Network downloads to add to the game.
On the con side, I do feel like the game was a little incomplete as shipped... for an entire galaxy, it feels like there aren't many places you can visit... plenty of worlds to drop probes on, not many places to land. It would be nice to have outposts, cities, and stations to visit, even if there are just mini-missions and shops there.

Still can't access the DLC at all... if you feel like fixing this Bioware, anytime soon, that would be awesome.
I've done everything on my end that could possibly have any effect on the 'misdirect'. Patiently (still) waiting on you Bioware or EA (whichever has jurisdiction on this issue).

Fun fact- I'm friends with a good friend of Seth Green. Two links in the chain of seven, and I already know Seth G.
Pretty sweet.

If my Charge hadn't failed like three times, I would've killed that last mech. That was BS, and you have video proof of it.
And hey, if you're going to laugh at anything, why not when I jumped and squealed like a baby girl when the 2nd Mech Ninja-Nuked?

But then again, playing a Vanguard is high risk, high reward. You can die easily on any difficulty.
I love what one poster on youtube said- "You ever heard of cover?"
Me- "I'm a Vanguard. WE DON'T NEED COVER."
