This thread is mostly a thread about wishes.
Like one of my top wishes
A deep dialog that always have at least 5 alternatives and sometimes up to 20.
Of course in this one have to see whats being said before choosing.
Or the a thing like having fifteen - twenty types of just swords each whit it's own skill. So that one have to specialize in such a thing like the ancient kuri kuri dagger dealing a terrible fleshy wound or the swift katana that strikes with blinding speed if your armor is flexible enough. You get the picture.
classes why just warrior thief or mage ye DA:O was lovely but still felt a bit restricted but anyway
The point of this thread is i wishes to know what do you miss in the role playing games of today and what would you like to see in DA:2
Ps. if any moderator thinks this thread is going a little to much of topic fell free to move it thou could not find any real good place to put it my self.
What if? A dreamers request or what do you want most in DA 2

Chimera.

That's a fire breathing lion with a snake for a tail and a goat coming out of it's chest.

I want something like PS:T, where you can use words, subterfuge, and stealth to beat the game in lieu of fighting, and it's actually a viable way to play the game. I want politicking, intrigue, and backstabbery.
I also want the option to use blood magic as a roleplaying tool, kind of like the evil use of Force Persuade in the KOTOR games. Being able to Force Persuade people to give me their money and jump to their dooms in KOTOR II was a Crowning Moment of Evil Awesome.

More tattoos, hairs, beards etc.
Adjustable height/weight/muscularity. (Not necessary, but it would be cool)
If it'll be at least as good as DA:O was, I'm happy. (Meaning the lore/companions mostly)

Sable, as usual, is right on the money. Really, considering the setting of the Free Marches being a bunch of squabbling city-states, a lack of deception and ruthless politicking options would be extremely disappointing.
On your second point, I'd like to see more class-based dialogue options. A blood mage would get mind control options on certain people (or, get in deep sh*t if he tries to do that against a hardened, veteran templar), a ranger might be able to solve a quest in a different manner if it takes place in a forest/nature area., etc. I loved the fact that you got to go into The Fade yourself to confront Connor's demon if you were a mage, and I'd love to see more content that is tailored to your class.

Personality. Shepard only had one personality. I would love Hawke to have atleast 3 different personalities. Violent, Wise and Coy.

Why just three? I want Hawke to be able to have any personality I can imagine.
DAO allowed tremendous freedom in this regard. Losing that would be a great shame.

Strategic decisions that matter. Why do we have to start every battle at full health and mana? Why can't we run out of arrows? Resource management is fun - I'd like DA2 to include more of it (this is the thread for dreamers, right?).

Variations in weapon and armor designs. The first time I played awakening and saw a Mage staff that wasn't a stick or generic metal staff I thought "why the hell wasn't this in origins?" There wasn't really any new armor designs but that can be worked on. Oh and cloaks and capes for sure. Tie that in with some decent freakin mage clothes/armor
Detailed character creation since we only get one race, meaning body type, weight, height etc.

A better method of portraying huge battles, implementing some Mass Combat system into the game.
The final section of Origins was a let down for me because felt no control over the troops I spent the entire game gathering.

I summoned one army, and it survived until the end (thus denying me the chance to summon another).

I'd like a big Ahkatla type city. Where every district has several sidequests and interesting NPCs and different stuff to do. In BG2 I played for hours and never even left Ahkatla. I was disappointed when all Denerim had was a market and a few trouble with bandits and merceneries

More places like Ostagar. Probably the best part of the game and it was the beginning. The camp felt like an actual war camp people were actually doing things; walking around, talking, messengers, praying before the battle. A giant battle would be fun, but you know one where you wont die from betrayal.

Nice too see there are some dreamers out there
Like the idea of much political intrigue and blood magic dialogue options but would increase that too an awful lot of skill checks giving you many different options depending on you skills like in NWN2 MoTB were a lot of checks occurred both hidden and visible. This partly goes in whit the class specific dialogue.
The wish about a city like Ahkatla would be very nice especially in combination with the deep political intrigue. So one moment your all up in politics and the next you take the wrong turn and find you eye to eye with something like a lich. And if you succeed beating it of to one of the many merchants. Merchants is important not that they always have some thing useful but that there's plenty of them.
And I totally share the wish of a high grade of character customization, in ME2 I knew it was going to be bad but I was disappointed to say the least.
Ah you all come up whit more, lovely.
And ye getting the warden back would be good but in one way not as your warden probably be quite tangled in the books of history.

I think it would be cool if you or one of your party members could get sick during your expeditions and I don't mean in the way where it just gives you a penalty. It would also be cool if you could get drunk and have it affect gameplay. I really would like it if they included a druid class/specialization. I enjoyed getting information from animals in NWN. It would also be nice if they added more leisure times in the game kinda like in LOTR when Frodo would stay with the elves for a while and the main mission in hand was sorta put to the side for a moment.

1) I'd like Romance to feel like it added something to the plot of the game and not just something extra
2) I'd like to be able to chat to companions about events that have just happened and for them to have more interest in the PC's past life.
For example in the Human Noble origin most of your family has been killed and apart from a few conversation options with Alistair no one ever mentions it or even asked how you are dealing with it.
3) I'd like to be able to add enchantments to armor
