So, I have some nice cutscenes that I want them to work anywhere.

But the background is not showing.

Ideas? :-)

Thank you!

PS: It looks like this:

Not sure if you will be able to do that since you normally have to assign an area to a cutscene and be in the same area as what the cutscene is based on. Someone may have an idea as how to accomplish this but nothing springs to my mind. (I don't think you can use scripting to assign an area to a cutscene.)

Beerfish: Her scenes are basically working like the vanilla kiss cutscenes which are not assigned an area yet they show up in any area the pc chooses.

(we have both been trying to figure this out)

It's basically a kiss cutscene. I want it to be able to be triggered anywhere.

Camp, cities, you name it. That's why I can't really assign an area to it. The background should be whatever area we are in at the time.

I must not have been much of a romatic in DA as I only remember being able to get the kissing at camp.  I guess your first step would be to find one of these exisiting  kiss anywhere cutscenes that you mention and examine it from top to bottom to see how they do it.  Perhaps it has something to do with stages and converstaions rather than full cutscenes?

I haven't done this myself, but I believe in the cutscene object inspector you can set 'area required' to false and then select a stage for the cutscene.

You may also have to create a conversation and then use the 'associate cutscene with line' option to make the cutscene play as part of the conversation (even if there is nothing else in the conversation). The reason I suggest this is that I remember you can check a box to 'place stage at current location' in the conversation editor. In this way, you conversation will plonk down the stage and lead into the cutscene, which will play on the spot.

The "at current location" switch is likely to be pretty crucial, otherwise the dynamic conversation stage is likely to use its default area which is "nowhere".

Yeah, tried it before and nothing. Tried it now again just for the sake of it and nothing still.

This doesn't work. It tells me the cutscene has no spoken lines. Which is true, because it's a kiss, basically... so it doesn't let me associate. It gives me that error...

Just add a speakline referencing a blank line. Not sure if it'll actually use the stage though.

Yes, That's exactly what I did. I tried with a comment line (green) or an OWNER line with just a space (silence).

But still didn't work...

You need to add empty "Speak Line" action in the cutscene itself for the association command to work. The line can be given either to one of the actors or even to the Master object, but it just needs to be present in the cutscene file at the moment the "Associate..." command attempts to do its work.

I assume the problem is that the camera snaps to 0,0,0 ? Common problem i guess something to do with stages and setup.

Maybe help here? http://social.biowar...6/index/1537020
