How does it matter what the party looks like in the TRAILER as compared to in game???
Are we so conformed one way or the other to be forced to accept one as right and other as wrong / ugly and beautiful ?
We should assume the game has the Canon looks until a movie is made out of the franchise.
Then Angelina Jolie can be Morrigan for all i care (If I did I would disapprove -100. Jolie is 50 years older than Morrigan

The CGI non-canon trailer wasn't done by BioWare

The original intent of the thread was a plea to the developers to make the CGI trailer character renditions as close to their ingame models as close as possible for DA2.
What people need to be aware of is that the Sacred Ashes trailer was done by Blur Studios, not Bioware. Odds are all they had to work from was the character concept art, as opposed to the ingame character models - both were probably being worked on in parallel.
Which brings up the question: is Bioware going to get Blur to do it again, or get someone else, or do it in house? And if so, will there be any consistency between the CGI trailer characters and their ingame representations?

I, too, hope that future trailers will resemble the characters more, regardless of who makes the trailer (I actually enjoyed the SA trailer, and hope that there'll be more pre-rendered CGI stuff; it's just the 'inconsistency' between the trailer and the in-game characters that I found annoying).

That may be true, but Bioware also used her Sacred Ashes look to promote Leliana's Song DLC.

It's like they want SA Leliana to be the 'official' face but are stuck with the ingame model now.
