The installation of the toolset fails for me despite trying different remedies suggested here. I am working on a Vista 32 Home Edt.
The installation error is: The SQL Server service failed to start .... sa user....
->The suggested solution of adding all rights for NetworkService did not change this, in fact NetworkService already had all the rights. I am working with the admin rights too.
Looks like there are more files to be changed. The result is the "sql services are not configured" and hence I get the famous "unable to connect to the database error". The toolssql data file is of course empty.
The manual SQL creation command suggested on the boards generates a time out for the login and suggests that remote login may not be allowed (simple home pc). The same with the restore method.
The registry key seems correct btw. Repeated tests did not get me anywhere.
It seems to me an issue with the SQL server/services. Can anyone help me in sorting this out?
