Sorry folks, but we do not yet have a fix for this problem. I can say that it is not simple or we would have fixed it by now. It happens in very rare instances (sadly most of you are these cases), but that doesn't make it any less important.

We are continuing to work on this problem and as soon as we have a fix or more information, we will let you know.

So...... does this mean when the DLC is back up and running we can download Ageis and Firepack DLC's for free for our trouble?

:D

I keed I keed......

Appreciate the update, Chris!

But just so you know, if this happens with the Shadow Broker DLC, I'll be WAY less understanding... ;)

Thanks for the info, Chris. It's good to know I'm not the only one with this issue. :)

Maybe those of us experiencing problems can get some bonus BW points for our trouble? ;)

Chris, are there any workarounds? For example, is it affected by being behind a router?

This would be a very nice idea.

I am also having this issue and coming to the forums to see the issue has been ongoing for 4 days now is very very depressing...

It's really not professional from EA/Bioware to have such an issue happening on a critical system like the online payment for so long...
I also do not buy the whole "you are all very rare cases", I am in customer support too, I know what is a PR twist to make people feel better and wait when I read one.

For info I am trying to buy from China, using Firefox 3.6.8/IE8. I also tried proxies in Japan, India, Japan, France and US and it's the same issue so I think we can rule out location as this "very rare case" root cause.

All I care about is a valid fix, ASAP. It's good to know they are doing something, though only time will show how fruitful their efforts are. Good luck!

Is there an estimate for when this will be fixed, Chris?

aye Chris! you're right - wrong links to PAYABLE DLCs on game's home website are very rare instances... usually developers want to sell their products...

Or maybe just this DLC for free.  Man this is worse than my ex leading me on then being "not in the mood".

Maybe this indicates it's an account-related issue. That would explain why other people have been able to acquire the DLC.

Funny that it should happen all of a sudden. I had no problem purchasing Stolen Memory and Overlord.

I've had no problems in the past purchasing any other DLC too, including Stolen Memories, Overlord, Equalizer and Aegis packs. I'm certain it has to be a problem with the website or perhaps online purchases.

What I'm curious to know is if this problem affects ALL DLC purchases, not just Firepower. Has anyone tried purchasing a different DLC to see if they managed to get through?

They've got an army of addicts here! I wouldn't be surprised if someone tried to sue for false advertisement..... I've seen vids on youtube of people that have the pc version playing with the firepower pack! Why were they able to get it!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I can't add bioware point or even attempt to buy the DLC either (PC of course) ahh well it was an impulse buy anyway, you lose EA. Can't even keep your ecommerce engine running, pathetic.

That's a troubling comment. Reminds me about the "I hope someone releases Anthrax into the vents at Bioware" comment when the Kasumi DLC was delayed, even though it was obviously a joke (or was it?).

I would like to encourage everyone to be patient. Do not allow your emotions to get the better of you: if you're in this forum, it's because you like Bioware's products. Don't do anything that would cause harm to Bioware (DLC piracy or otherwise).

Nobody wins from this problem, so it's obviously in their best interest to solve it as soon as possible. We don't know much about this problem, which is precisely the reason we shouldn't take desperate measures. Bioware is obviously aware of this and they know more than we do. If they don't provide us with more information about it, they probably have a good reason.

Also, don't be mad at the people working on this problem. The player community should be supportive. Yes, I'm sure some people are going to say "why should I be supportive when it's their job to provide support?" If that's what you think, then see it this way. Problems always arise, there's no way to avoid that fact. You flame the people providing support so they fix the problem: they lose, you win. Nobody enjoys having to work like that. I'm sure YOU wouldn't like having to work like that.

You provide assistance in any way (even if only through patience), they can work normally and perhaps even faster. They win, you win.

Considering the money they're missing out on here, I'm sure we can assume they are working to get this fixed. Guess I'll kill some time on Team Fortress until it's up again.
