Surely it can't be too hard to patch the PC version's UI to recognize double-clicking. So much annoyance and time could be saved by being able to double-click save game files, store purchases, etc.

Also, please make mouse wheel scrolling supported for all menus, such as the Codex and Journal. It is incredibly annoying to have to click and drag the little scroll-bar, then click an option, then click "OK" or "OPEN" or "LOAD" or whatever the "accept" button is for that particular menu.

It's so annoying that I refuse to look at the Codex and go out of my way to avoid any sort of menu selections, such as career saves.

Otherwise the game is amazing. Please fix.

I add keyboard shortcuts to this request (J for journal, O for codex, U for squad... ) although I doubt that guys at Bioware will ever read the title of this forum.

EDIT: I almost forgot this. There is this ludicrous limit to 50 saves or so. In ME1, besides the other things reported above, the player had at his disposal endless saves.

I was kinda surprised that the mouse scroll was not in from the beginning.

They should fix this.

Yup, it sure would be nice to be able to use the scroll-wheel and double-click stuff. Didn't even think about asking for it in a patch! Great idea:)

This seems so basic. I'm amazed that Bioware shipped the game with these fundamental UI annoyances.

Console-oriented design can be a **** like that.

I have seen the Xbox interface versus the PC one. They are WAY different. I think PC version has been designed specifically for PC; so why didn't they simply reuse the interface they used in ME1? Wasn't it more practical than rewriting an interface from scratch, without shortcuts & mouse scroll and with this depressing orange/brown theme? And why did they put this limit to 50 savegames?
Yes, this is only a complaint. But someone at Bioware should keep these complaints in mind when they will design the interface for ME3.

They aren't that different; instead of a button that says "Confirm", there is an indicator for the 'A' button.

And I agree that the ME1 interface was much, much better.

Sequels should be better and there was no reason to downgrade the UI on the PC.

Also, on the power bar in ME1, there were 10 hotkeys. In ME2, there are 8.

Before this game came out, one of the BioWare developers (I think it was Dr. Ray something) said that BioWare is fully committed to providing a good PC version of the game.

Well... that was a lie, wasn't it?

With very low-resolution textures, awful aliasing issues and not to mention the poor UI, I now know why Dr. Ray had to say those words.

i totally agree with the mouse-scrolling and the double-click aswell as the hoykeys for different menus.

mouse scrolling is what annoys me the most...
