combat training simulations from 1st contact war.

Since I never got to play the original Pinnacle Station I'd love to see those, would be a nice story-style virtual arena for the people who wanted something more story-oriented.

I voted yes. There was a similar mod made for KOTOR 2 and it was a great addition - not because of the content (which was pretty average) but because you got to experiment with weapons and tactics prior to entering long missions.

Besides, any self-respecting futuristic commando has got to get in some off-duty training in no matter how badass he is.

I'd like this, especially if it used the Overlord DLC effects, could even be made into a repeatable mission.

If you gave it some way of not depleting your ammo, I'd love for a firing range to test out new DLC and researched weapons in a safe environment.

Lol the point is that it would be repeatable, if it wasn't  repeatable it wouldn't be nearly as worth it. It has to be repeatable for it to be useful in testing weaponry/armor.

A tower simulation would be cool. Like you have to ascend or descend the tower, each floor you fight harder enemies etc. That would be awesome and have great replay value.

You can track your score against other players on leaderboards and what-not. Maybe even an option to spectate another player... hmmmmmmm it wouldn't be multiplayer but it would allow for competition online.

Well if they do a Cerberus version of Pinnacle station then I'd like to see some Cerberus style ops as the challenges.. for example:

Recreate the Cerberus mission to the Flotilla that is mentioned by Tali

Lead a Cerberus squad in a clean up operation of the station infested by hacked mechs

Cleanse a Rachni infested base

To make it slightly more intersting have Shep as the only char you can take in with you but have a selection of Cerberus operatives to take. It would give it a more training like feeling as you are not surrounded by over powered npcs.

That's from the mass effect novels.

Hey just throwing my idea in here:

Relics DLC:

The Alliance/Cerberus (depending on your position int he game and how you dealt with the final decision) has discovered a crashed Turian ship on Titan and wants you to investigate it before the Turians are able to 'contaminate the scene.'

When you arrive, you find that the ship was used during the First Contact war, but there's no record in the Alliance database about its destruction. Going deeper into the ship reveals a small network of stasis pods with an alive Alliance soldier in one of them. After some technobabble, someone in the party suggests that if Shepard enters stasis, he will have a shared dream with the alliance soldier. The squadmate will also tell Shepard that he/she has to enter the simulation in order to bring the alliance soldier out of stasis.

Shepard enters the simulation on an Alliance ship that has been borded by Turians. He is in the body, and position, of an Aliance marine who is quickly captured by the Turians.

Aboard the Turian ship, he finds the Alliance soldier he was looking for, but he is unable to convince him that they're in a simulation. The soldier then tells Shepard that the Turian ship is testing a new claoking device (the prototype to the one now on Normandy) and will be launching a surprise attack on Earth. Shepard and the Alliance soldier escape their cells and cause the ship to crash only moments before reaching Earth. As the ship hits a screeching hault on Titan, the soldier remembers that he put himself into stasis to keep him alive after the ship lost atmospheric containment.

Shepard and the soldier then are able to leave the simulation and the soldier is quickly brought back to the ship. Mordin (whether in party or on the Normandy) will suggest bringing the stasis pods back tot eh Normandy for investigation. They will be placed on Deck 5.

After the story is complete, Shepard can go to deck 05 at any time and pick from 6 or 7 different simulations, AND possibly can replay any mission already completed in the game

Just an idea I had

I would love the idea of being able to simulate fights against diffrent enemys from the game. Geth Colloseus, 3 Harbingers, Husks, Thrasher Maw, and Krogans would be intense.

Ive been thinking about this for a while, and while I was initially against it I think it may actually be quite fun if done correctly (opposite of Pinnacle Station)

Instead of simply a arena scenario, how about being able to play battles from previous wars. Similar to the last part of pinnacle station, only more depth and dialog. Think of it the battles from the First Contact War, Mindoir, Akuze, maybe even some from the Krogan Rebellions, etc... these could be some fun battles if done correctly. It would also provide a good way to give some more background on some of the battles that have taken place. Each scenario could have its own unique objective: hold until evac, reach a comm center, push through enemy lines to help another squad.

Which is referenced by Tali when you first meet her and her Quarian squad in ME2.

This is a great idea. Everyone complained about Pinnacle Station in ME1 but in a game where the combat is actually tense, balanced, and fun, it would be a great addition.
