It says you are going to be able to

Import your character from Origins or Awakening or create a new, high-level hero!

And then after you finish you will

Earn powerful rewards that transfer into your Awakening and Originscampaign

I am just wondering on how you plan on adding these back to these save files exactly?

Each BioWare DLC has an achievement that is granted when you complete it. Every time you load a save game during the campaign, the game engine runs a script associated with each DLC you own. Each of those scripts check for the achievement(s) associated with that particular DLC. If you have that achievement, then it adds a new unique item to the inventory of that character. In reality, it's not touching your save game directly.

This is also why you have to be logged into your account in order to get these items the first time you start a new game/load a save after acquiring them (after they're in your inventory, it doesn't matter whether you're logged in or not).

I am very concerned about the "transfer" to GoA. How exactly can you transfer "either" a DAO or DAA game?

So, I complete Origins, and transfer to Golems then Awakening?

Or, I complete Awakening then transfer to GoA?

What about the items that can be transferred into *both* games?

It seems that they are implying you can transfer in-and-out of GoA... but you have to begin it through "new game".

Conclusion: You will be transferring a character from Awakening with no record of its completion, then sit there till another DLC (if ever) transfers you out? Or it simply ends with no epilogue.

Seeing as there is no epilogue file for Awakening, and that GoA has to be begun from "new game", I am not sure if they are going to screw up Awakening completely.

You can transfer in but you cant Transfer out from what ive heard. It just makes a copy of your warden similar to how Awakening did. I have a Feeling though Bioware is going to give greater rewards to Origens Characters over Awakening ones due to the HUGE difference in powerlevel.

But as far as rewards go its going to be the same as Leilanas song/Darkspawn chronicles did it for Blightblood/Battle dress.

On PS3 the character space is limited so will i have to delete another file so i can play this?

Can't they update the game so we have more charater slots?

Is it the same for Xbox 360 and PC & MAC?

Origins save files can be loaded into Origins, Awakening and GoA. Awakening save files can be loaded into Awakening and GoA but not Origins. GoA save files can only be loaded into GoA. It's a chronological progression from Origins to Awakening to GoA - these are the only 3 Dragon Age modules that involve loading your Warden storyline.

From the sounds of GoA, it would appear that the level-scaling will take into account your Warden's level whether it be level 25 at the end of Origins or level 35 at the end of Awakening.

I don't play on a console so I don't know about save slots. On the PC version, you are limited only by the amount of free space you have on your hard drive. At the moment, I think I have about 20 different Wardens saved, including separate save files for Awakening and Origins.

Has there been any info on the achievements this DLC will include? I'm mainly interested in the one that supposedly so difficult a lot of the developers are having trouble with it (I think you have to beat Golems of Amgarrak on Nightmare if I recall correctly). Any info on what the other ones will be?

Beat it on Nightmare, Max your affinty/rep with the oher party members and save Jerriks Brother is my guess.
I heard there also one where you need to beat it under a certain time limit.

Im gonna see how this goes but due to my recent harddrive failure I have no acceptable Wardens so im gonna have to make one soon, maybe even just get cheap and use the Orlesian Warden from scratch.

On Hard or Nightmare...huh...I figured it'd only be on Nightmare difficulty.

Really looking forward to tackling that achievement.

tangentially related:
Did anyone else find it a little disorienting to hear the Mass Effect 2 theme in the Golems of Amgarrak trailer?
I was half expecting Shep to step out beside my Warden and mow down some Geth/Darkspawn

After completing GOA you have new dlc to use for both Awakenings and Origins. One of them is called Golem's Might but Awakenings already has this with Wade, so what is ths DLC? Anyone know? I haven't seen it yet as I just started a new game with Origins, but I already have the Reaper weapon and the amulet but haven't seen this "other" Golem's Might nor did I see it playing Awakeings. Reaper weapon is a real joy to use and to sell over and over as it solves all the money problems. The amulet makes a real difference in the early going of the game. But what is this other Golem's Might listed as DLC?

I too am wondering what that Golem's Might DLC is as I have not seen a item by the name after finishing GOA.

Some objects from DLC are given like "Bonus Items" when you play DA:O or DA:A...

Two weeks ago I started a new Origins campaign after I played DA:O.. Right at the beginning of the game, in the initial equpment I found a bell... the Sash of Forbidden Secrets.

Same thing later when I imported that character in Awakening... I found in the equipment a new "bonus item", an amulet named "The High Regard of House Dace"

I'm not sure if it's allowed to ask for hints & tips here for the Grim Reaper achievement...? If it is, does anyone have anything to share if you play as a melee rogue? I'm still playing through the Origins story, then Awakening and the GoA. I'm playing on the Nightmare difficulty. It's a challenge, but more fun (imo). :) Anyway, if it isn't allowed to ask for hints etc, then ignore my post. :D

Finally played this over the holiday. Man it was tough on normal. The companions all died quick. They all were terrible. I was running around with my Mage for an 1 hour fighting the final battle. I am glad she was an arcane warrior wearing the golem armor from awakening or I would not have beaten it. Tough but fun.

Bring LOTS of big Health poultices and equip your weapons to fight Undead.  Stealth is useless in final battle.
