the sr 1 had a awesome visual screen... like the one showing the eden prime reports... i thought that was going to be used often during mass effect 1

Add to the terminal the ability to write emails back over the extranet. I dont mean the ability to actually physically type up your email, rather a list of prewritten emails to respond back to the person in a variety of ways. Such as Paragone and Renegade responses and cerberus vs Alliance responses in reguards to what the email is about. This would allow you to strike up a conversation with the senders. Also how about just the simple ability to lay down or sit at your desk. I like the ideas about the TV like sitting down watching the TV and watching like 3 or 4 different channels. Perhaps with news reports reguarding your last missions, and the actions you took of course they would be based on cover ups and dance around about what actually what went down. I also agree that there is right now no purpose to use your captians cabin. I think they need to add a few mini games.

kind of like gta 4... watching tv in your houses, or using the webcafe stuff... internet, email... we got the music and all with the little radio player

The SR-2 has a surround-vid room. Granted, you only get the Illusive Man Channel, but still.

Remove the fish tank and model ships put in a radio and or TV I like the other comments about using either of these to see news and listen to their music what if when you change the radio stations it goes to game soundtrack, their Russian radio station, and your own music you downloaded to your 360 it'd be a nice way to allow people to use what they stored on the machine anyway.

I want a gun wall where all my special guns like the prothean ray gun are kept a punching bag would be nice that you could interact with



If you could use a TV or a computer to play mini games on but good mini games no brain drain or ping pong please



Also either EDI or your omni tool beep and gives you heads up that so and so wants to talk to you instead of Kelly its so annoying I come from deck 3 and get ready to leave via the star map and she says " Commander Miranda wants to speak with you"....Well if my omni tool told me while I was on deck 3 then I could've gone right over to her!

That's what I was kind of talking about with the TV....I do not care if it is a TV or if it is a radio, we need one. Also, I would like a pager in my room to ask Kelly whether I have any new mail or if Teamates want to speak to me...stops me making an unnecessary elevator trip.

Well, you don't need to talk to Kelly for either of those things.  If a squadmate wants to see you, a journal entry will pop up that says to speak to that squadmate, and it's conveniently named after them like "Miranda: The Prodigal."  Also for messages, you could just check the terminal in your room to see if you have messages.  It's really not that hard.  Of course this means that Kelly serves no gameplay purpose, she's just there to be endearing so that you want to rush to get her back at the end.

Anyway, I can't really think of many things that the captain's cabin needs, given how little time is actually spent there.  Maybe have more decoration possibilities for those that like to pimp out their pad.  Though I do like the idea of having a news terminal in your room.  It would be nice to be able to have news wherever you are in the galaxy.  Though it diminishes the feeling of being out in unexplored or at least out of the way space when you can just turn on galactic news (if anyone else even got that feeling).  I don't know.

personaly i'd like to see memorabelia from past missions. kinda like the firewalker prothean artifact. and the normandy crash site helmet. would be nice if you picked up some item from your last major mission. same would be nice for the loyalty quests from your squad mates and memorabelia from their quests would pop up in their quarters. just my 2 cents

To add to this idea, I would like to have a trophy case showing "trophies" from past missions like a blue suns helmet along with Bloodpack and Eclipse or Sarens dismembered head would be bad ass.

Also the news terminal idea is great. Along with a gun wall showing my guns.

I say it should have a window too. I'm always jealous of Samara's room.

Maybe it'd be cool it Joker notifies you when there are messages from the council.

Or to keep the game extended. You need to be on the ship in order to buffer in between missions. You know like you cant do another mission right away until you talk to a few crew embers or do side missions.



Oh and I remember looking at some really nice fan art and I noticed its kinda dead in there. no sleepwear, shoes, big plants, warm lighting, Tali, etc.

Kind of but in reguards to the emails i was actually more so thinking of the system from Alpha Protocal, how some emails you were able to reply to in 3 or 4 different ways and you would get another one back down the line and they would all be different depending on how you wrote back to them.  (By the way alpha protocal horrible game dont buy it!!!!)

Yeah we know where the bar is but a mini bar is within reach I have to run all the way to deck 3 to get drunk why bother when I can do so in the privacy of my own room? And I don't make Kasumi uncomfortable drinking in her room.

i guess im lucky i found out when i first played the game i
