HELP! Trying to add new DLC
#1

Here is my problem, when I click on to purchase the new DLC (I click on the PC version of course), but then the website directs me to the main website for Mass Effect 2. Of course while I am there, it tells me to go to the Bioware social network to download. So I do, so I try again to purchase the new DLC. Then the website directs me to the main website of Mass Effect 2.
I am going in circles like a dog chasing it's own tail. Frankly I am getting pissed off. What am I missing?

Also, I can't buy more Bioware points.
If I remember properly, I had the same problem when I tried to download the Aegis pack. Had to wait until the next day and try again.

Yesterday it went straight to the ME page from the PC link on the DLC, this morning I get to put my password in before I go to the ME page, so I guess thats a form of progress.

it should actually take you to social.bioware-site with a form to enter your password, the moment you enter it, you should be directed to the website where you can purchase the DLC. Or are you being re-directed to the wrong site after you type in your password?

not fair to say so, since the moderators kept asking about the problems and I am pretty sure, the site administrators are looking into it at this moment. For how I see it, it's their problem to solve, not Priestley's. So I'm pretty sure, they will let you know, once it's figured out.
Personally, I think it's a matter of personal security settings, cookies, cache, for I am only being redirected when I delete my cookies between one click and the next.

can't hurt to give it a try. and if it worked last time but doesn't this time, there's constantly updates running on browers, add-ons, windows itself, if you run windows, that mess with your personal settings more than you think.

Nope. Not that either. I've gone all the way thru each browser (IE, FF, Chrome, Opera). Doesn't do any good.J4N3_M3 wrote...

The exact same setup as last week, when I downloaded OVERLORD without a hitch.J4N3_M3 wrote...

In any case, BIO has answered in another thread.

No Proxy
All latest versions and updates.
FYI: I'm a retired computer tech (20 yrs). Still work on mine (just built this system a couple months ago), my family, and close friends. All together - 30+ years. No sarcasm intended.

They could've at least said "hey, XYZ is the problem, and it'll take us XYZ amount of time to fix it" sometime over the course of the last 10 hours.

However, if I try to install it WHILE playing the game (yeah, dumb I know but... ), it tells me that the game is running and I should exit before trying to install the content. Duh. So it can recognize the game when it's running but not when it isn't?
Please help! Where does the ME2_AegisPack.exe need to be installed from in order to recognize that the game is in fact installed?
I've tried it from the game's base folder, from the Binaries folder, from the BioGame folder (where the other DLC folders are located). I'm running out of ideas here.
----------------------------
Never mind. Figured out that my game wasn't installed where the DLC expected it to be. I moved the game files and the DLC installed like a charm. My bad.
