Having the problem myself looking into the Firepower pack. I can't even find how many bioware points I presently have. The buy link that worked for overlord 2 weeks ago now only redirects me to the main ME2 page. Fail. I wonder if Kotaku's reported on this yet...

2 days now and still no word as to what's wrong?? Isn't this a little out of character for bioware? How is the part about adding BW points even related to a problem with the DLC? We've never had this problem before, right?

I'm having the same problem. Heard about the Aegis pack and the Firepower pack. Thought they sounded like fun, so I boot up ME2, and click on the downloadable content link. (Yes, I can be lazy sometimes. :) )

So I get to the page, try to download the packs, and instead get redirected to the main page. And there's no way to purchase more points, either.

What's up? Haven't they fixed this yet? This isn't just users complaining about a bad compile or a rotten port of something they bought. This is your revenue stream!! This is where you're making your money! Keep us in the loop, even if it's just an acknowledgement that you know the problem exists!

Man this is gettng frustrating. I love Bioware, don't get me wrong, but at least let us know that you know that there is an issue and they are working on it. Instead, complete silence.......... ugh.

I am also having this problem. Seems a bit reminiscent of the problem CE owners had with the Cerberus Network and other free DLC at launch, though I seem to remember the response from Bioware being quicker.

Javier or Chris: Any news yet as to when this 'misdirect' issue will be resolved?

I found a workaround by accident for this. If it asks you to confirm your password, then it won't redirect you to the main page, and you can purchase as normal.

I wish that would work, but I get redirected even when I confirm my password.

I tried that too, but it just redirects me right back to the main web page.

You must have gotten lucky.  It asked for my password numerous times during the past 3 days and i've gotten zilch.  I'm assuming the servers containing the dlcs are having an issue, and the site is coded to redirect you to the main page if the link you click does not exist.  Not sure why it would take so long to fix it though. Last time they had this issue it was fixed within 24 hours.

No doubt about it ... it's a coding problem.

Sorry folks, but we do not yet
have a fix for this problem. I can say that it is not simple or we would
have fixed it by now. It happens in very rare instances (sadly most of
you are these cases), but that doesn't make it any less important.

We
are continuing to work on this problem and as soon as we have a fix or
more information, we will let you know.

Has anyone had the chance to attempt downloading this/buying points from a different IP address? (e.g. downloading it from a friend's house, etc)

Mr. Priestly did mention this was a rare instance, so if some people are able to download this without a problem, it might be worth trying this solution. If the issue is account-related, then we're screwed until the fix.

It shouldn't have to come to that, I've bought most of the ME2 DLCs just fine, I don't see why there would be an issue now.

Seriously, I've bought ALL the previous DLC, and never had a problem with it. So what's different with this DLC? Come on BioWare, we want our crack!!!

I've tried ordering it through my IPhone on 3G connection, obviously a different IP, it still doesn't work. It must be something to do with the Bioware account rather than the connection.

I just bought the Firepower Pack this Morning, Downloaded it, and Installed it. I have not had the chance to see if it has taken effect yet (Have to use a weapons locker or check Shepperds personnal computer... Right now Shepperd is at Freedoms Progress trying to connect nodes with a SuperHyper Excellerated Mouse.

How I bought the Firepower DLC is I Started the Game Menu ( Play, Configure, Support, ... ) I clicked on Downloadable Content, at the Webpage I saw the boxes with the available DLC software, I clicked on "Buy" then I clicked on the platform choice "PC", I had to Log on ( I have learned to allways Logon at the Left Side Logon/Password Entry) I was then at the window telling me my BioWare Points Balance and the Purchase Option, I chose "Purchase"  a few seconds later the window changed saying "Congratulations on your Purchase" I then had only One option at the lower Right corner saying "Return" no "Continue Shopping" so I clicked on "Return". then I Navigated to my Registered Game Promotions, clicked on "Download" Now I have it, ( Note: When I go to install a New DLC I have to open the DLC file first, go down to "Properties" open the Properties file, look at the bottom of the "General" Tab where it says "UnBlock"  and click on the UnBlock then "Apply" then "OK" THEN I can install the DLC Succesfully.

Thanks, Have a Great Day.
