Strange, I wonder if this is a praise to the Neverwinter Nights community, or WotC's latest stab in our back.

Dont know what to think of it. A trilogy by Salvatore about neverwinter sounds interesting, But I prefer a New NWN game, thanks.

I for one am glad to see the return of Jarlaxle in this novel. I find him the most interesting and entertaining of the bunch.

Any chance this is a push before they actually release a NWN3? It is a trilogy so they have at least 2 more years right?? Although I know the chances of that work even being started are nil because of the Hasbro/Atari legal issues.

I love you, man!  Nothing like biting sarcasm from a dead soul to liven up any conversation.

nice kamal ;)

You'll be able to take on Drizzt and co., or Artemis/Jarlaxle and co - or both! - in the mod i'm working on if you feel up the the challenge

Nice.

Drizzt and co. are somewhat cliched now, but what the hell, we love them still anyway!

I think we should have a Drizzt episode if we do another SoZ Holiday Project release.

P.S. Hate to do this but "cowards" needs an apostraphe. Just in case you hadn't noticed. ;-)

not sure myself, I did think it was worth sharring though.
It might just lead up to the city's destruction, and its reconstruction beginings.
Neverwinter mind you was listed in several 4e novels I read.

look on the bright side though, Maybe Salvatore will kill off Nasher in the most embarrassing way

Oh come on, everyone loves Nasher. OK he can't move as fast as he could in the olden days but you've gotta love that NWN1 intro movie where he wipes the floor with that minotaur dude.

yeah but those were back in the day, when he sent him to cania, but was to yellow to go and finish the job.

instead one of my pcs had to get killed and do it for him.

As I recall, he went to Cania when he died, just like your PC does... it's hardly that he got sent there rather than be finished off. In fact, the going to Cania was the being finished off, just in FR it's less final that we might like.

he died in the hells as a spirit, that was being axed off, no resurrection at that point.

So you're saying that in addition to killing the damn minotaur, Nasher should also have taken precautions to ensure that a dim-witted monster with no intelligent friends or allies couldn't be resurrected by any magic regardless of strength? Now, if I had to do that every time I fought a baddy, I'd hang up my sword, bow and spellbook and quit adventuring right now. ;-)

It's now on the Wizards front page too - in fact they actually mention NWN.

Well most bad guys can't. Anyone with the dungeon master prestige class (forget the name, the one that gives you horrendous cackle abilities, minions, traps, and a getaway boat, requires your own stronghold etc) has to have at least one way of cheating death so they can come back and cackle manically (with exclaimations of "Fools!" and "I may have underestimated you last time, but this time I have brought minions who are just slightly more powerful, to compensate for your higher level, though not quite enough to actually kill you!" and things) at the players as their plans come to supposed fruition.
