I feel that the armor in ME2 really favors the Soldier or Hybrid classes because they tend to focus more on weapon damage then they do Power damage.  Their are just not that many pieces of armor or Pre-order armor that give the Caster classes a real boost in Power or Recharge time.  The Dragon Age Armor gives the biggest boost at 15% power but only gives you a 10% shield boost, which on insanity is virtually nothing.

The new Aegis pack and Firepower pack are great DLC for Soldier, Infiltrator, Vanguard, and Assault Sentinel.  But I want a Piece-Based Armor that only focuses on Power damage and Recharge time.  Maybe the armor could have stats like this.

Power Damage - 20%
Recharge time - 10%
Shields - 10%
Health - 10%

I'm just throwing numbers out there but something like this that ignores weapon damage and just focuses on abilities.  Let me know what you think.

I never noticed any real or significant difference between armor. The only piece worth something are the +25% melee pads. All the equipment that improves weapon / power damage are neglectable, same with the shield % health pieces.

Playing a 'caster' class effectively only requires your/squadies powers can strip enemy defenses instantly (on normal enemies - Vorcha, Troopers, Drones etc) which is easily accompliced with the normal upgrades. Tech specialists can get 3 (+2 extra) tech upgrades before Horizon, the biotic classes have to complete Horizon to get there. Plus you get a optional pwr dmg bonus with the passive ability.

I agree there isn't much 'caster' equipment around, but you don't really need it anyway - just wear whatever you believe looks nice ;)

IMHO opinions Engineers already rock pretty hard with Blood Dragon Armor -- this plus the standard Tech Upgrades is about all the oomph that they need.

Agreed. Engineers are hilarously broken (you can cast your drone every 3 seconds) but I would like to see some armor to boost the adepts power.

Yeah I agree that the Engineer doesn't really need it but I still think the Adept would benefit a little from a recharge boost. My biggest problem is that I never bought Dragon Age so I don't have the Blood Dragon armor and I don't have the Dr Pepper DLC. So the only power upgrade Im getting is from the Shoulder Plates which only give a 5% increase.
