The God Baby will never be the protagonist of a dragon Age game. Witch hunt canonizes his gender as male, and Bioware games all let you pick your gender. However, I do expect it to have some supporting role for those that chose to create it, otherwise Bioware wouldn't have given that option. However, it will not be canon and it will not play that big a role.

I hope your joking. Hawke is alive during the blight, about the same age as the warden, the GB is male, hawke can be either M/F and he was a blood mage in trailers.

Why would Morrigan name it anything else? If Morrigan is going to use the child, she'd give it the name that would give it influence in Thedas.

Tell me ''you're wrong'' if i am but didn't morrigan say that ''child is a herald for what is to come...'' (by mentioning the change? maybe) in WH. Doesn't that make OGB something important for the game?

It was the most important choice in Origins. For BioWare not to do something with it at all, would just prove that choices don't really matter.

If it was going to play a major role, it'd have to be. Otherwise, what'd happen for people who didn't do it?

Say the Old god son is the main villain. What do the people who didn't do the ritual get as the villain?

Well then she would more than likely have mostly the same dialogue, goals, powers and boss fight.

Why? Less of a strain for the devs.

Look at ME2. A game touted at having consequences for the choices you made in the first game. Whether you killed the council or saved them, the scene where you talk with them or Udina the end results are still the goddamn same.

So if ME2... a game that is supposed to have consequences for your choices can't get it right... what makes you think DA2 will, when carrying over choices was never one of the 'big things' about the series?

I think the WH decision flags either Flemeth or Morrigan as the big bad in future installments.

If you romanced her then it's probable the she Warden and OGB are the good guys trying to kill Flemeth. If you went all stabbity stab stab then she will eat your soul for breakfast and still have time to conquer Thedas by lunch.

Really have to disagree with that. I think that most people will be dissapointed to see what is done with the Warden as a character following Witch Hunt. My guess is that the final fate is dissapearance, whether chasing after Morrigan, or through the mirror with her.

Well, the problem is that BioWare has said on numerous occasions that Morrigan's story is not over. And then they give players the chance to specifically follow Morrigan through the Eluvian to "face the future together." And even if you don't go through the Eluvian with her, there is a good chance your Warden has some connection to her.

So, since BioWare didn't bother answering any Morrigan questions in Witch Hunt and they've said MOrrigan's story isn't over, what are they going to do? Simply handwave away the Warden that followed her, relegating them to some codex entry? Left wondering why Morrigan came out of the Eluvian to go about the most climactic events in her plan while the Warden who went with her was lost in the Bermuda Triangle along with Maric?

Certainly BioWare could do that, but so long as they're continuing Morrigan's story, I think its myopic to just ditch the Warden, the one character that has knowledge of her and some sort of relationship with her, in favor of some new PC who, given Morrigan's personality, would simply be starting from square one with her.

Its a matter of emotional engagement in continuing Morrigan's story, and whether you love her or hate her as a character, her story is best suited by allowing the Warden, whether ORlesian or Hero of Ferelden to continue interacting with her. To ignore the Warden's role in Morrigan's story going forward is just bad storytelling.

BioWare don't really have to worry about Morrigan until DA3. Flemeth is in DA2, so maybe there setting something up, for the return of Morrigan, godbaby & warden ( If you chose to go with her. )



DA3 - Morrigan + Godbaby vs Flemeth. ( DR )

DA3 - Morrigan vs Flemeth. ( Refused DR. )

I hope Flemeth doesn't die off in DA2, I want the two witches of the wilds to fight it out.



AND IF MORRIGAN SHOWS UP WITHOUT MY WARDEN, I'M GOING TO BE SO CHEESED.
