I know it's not a high priority thing, but still...

THIS! My most recent encounter with this issue has caused me to lose months of work, and it's very disheartening. At least some kind of workaround would be nice.Charsen wrote...
if they could fix the problem with duplicate keys when using B2B's and dialogues, that would be enough for me. the problem is so devastating that you lose all your work. it ruins your ability to save anything, and B2B's become useless. it is not a user error, but an inherent flaw in the toolset, and it must be fixed on Bioware's end. it has made modding this game incredibly difficult and tedious due to the lack of information about prevention and the lack of a fix after months of complaints.

Hey folks,
Victor managed to hunt me down, and I wanted to clear up a few things with regards to what I'm seeing as the two major concerns on this thread.
First off, let's talk about the toolset issue. Obviously in this community there's going to be some concern that we wouldn't release a toolset, so let me clear the air a little: The tools we're using to make Dragon Age 2 are very, very close to the tools you guys have used to make your mods for DA:O. They're not identical, as we've made a few in-house improvements, but they're almost identical. As such, there isn't a new toolset to release, per se.
While we won't be releasing a toolset update in tandem with Dragon Age 2, we ARE investigating what it would take to update the community toolset to match ours, along with providing DA2 content in the future.
*unrelated stuff to toolset snipped*
As you can probably tell from my phrasing, all of this is a bit in-flux right now, so things may change between now and ship, but I wanted to update you guys on the current direction of things.
Mike..
so there is some hope.

Still, later is far, far better than never. Wouldn't you agree?Proleric1 wrote...
Sounds to me like toolset 2.0 will probably come after DA2, if at all. So for practical purposes, I'd assume no toolset improvement any time soon.

If there is an improvement one day, of course that would be welcome.Galatean wrote...

However, taking the view that nothing will happen soon (if ever) is actually a positive encouragement to the community to invest serious time in toolset improvements, bolt-ons or workarounds. No one would do that if we thought Bioware was going to fix the bugs next week.
Perhaps we should learn to become more independent and self-sufficient as a community, rather than speculate or complain about Bioware.
