Nathaniel spent a year in Kirkwall? It's like we planned this!

Yay Nathaniel! With his relative normalcy and his not being insane like a lot of the other NPCs! He needs a hug. Maybe there'll be an opportunity to give the poor guy a hug in DA2.
That aberration needed to die.
All Bioware Companions are insane. No exceptions.

"Anders will remain with the Grey Wardens to train the Order's next generation of mages. When he is called by the Circle of Magi to deliver a lecture on the nature of the Architect - much to the templars' dismay - he tells the Commander of the Grey that his time with the Wardens is over. No longer a part of the Wardens, the Chantry brands him an apostate, but never captures him. He is last seen on a pirate ship with a familiar woman."

Well the interactive map on GameInformer's site lists Llomerynn as an importaint place and sounds like a Pirate hangout.

Actually, how far is the reach of the Circle and the Chantry anyway, if an apostate crosses the border, they lose jurisdiction?Bryy_Miller wrote...

And who is that woman, I don't recall hearing about Ander's girlfriend, or he living out his regular life dreams?

I always just assumed they were referencing Isabela the captain who teaches the dualist spec.

Aw hell, I shouldn't have accidentally hanged him, then. I chose some sort of "fine, have it your way then" dialog thinking no one would be stupid/proud enough to choose death over adventuring with my awesome self, but I was very wrong.Mike Laidlaw wrote...

Well...you DID off his father. And Nate didn't know the circumstances at the time

I know we've got till March and they need to space out their info, but facts have been coming in at such a slow trickle that it's always exciting when you see something like this.

Well, then "sailing the ocean blue" takes on a new meaning. Was I the only one that found Isabela quite creepy?

I wonder if Nathaniel will be a romantic interest? Oooh.. I thought he was pretty hot in Awakening.

Even though I usually play Couslands, I really like Nathaniel, he is by far the most interesting character in Awakening. Saying that though, I liked Velanna when no-one else in the world did.
I actually liked her too. She could be a jerk at times, but I liked her anyway.

If you befriend him he tells you he pretty much wanted to die at that point. Unless you give him a new purpose and let him find out the truth about his father I guess he doesn't have much to live for.

The elf groundskeeper guy who tells Nate about his sister mentions Thomas died in the war. I was always kind of curious about him too, especially since he gets brought up as a marriage prospect in the HNF origin.

Really? Because at the time of the Landsmeet he's supposed to be most certainly alive. Huh. Well, no skin off my bones.

The groundskeeper guy (I seriously forget his name) said Thomas was dead when you talk to him to get Nate's personal quest. And anyway, I personally didn't want to meet him. Nathaniel described him (or presumably him. I don't know if Rendon Howe had any other children besides Nathaniel, Delilah, and Thomas) as a drunk.
But then I put up with Oghren carrying a smile so nevermind.

... is it too much to hope that my Hawke can seduce him before he heads of to Amaranthine to meet my Warden(s)?
