Can someone please tell me what's the deal with the third note? How is that related and what am I missing here?

Sorry... he usually falls in love with DALISH ELVEN FEMALES (especially if they are mages with bad character). Considering that you are forced to play as a human you have no hope.....lol

I liked the character in Awakenings and it will be nice to see him in DA2, however due to his manner in Awakenings I don't see much room for character development unless we find him to be a cheery, happy-go-lucky chap and then inform him of the events in DA:O.

Well with this tidbit of info you do know Nathaniel will not be a LI concidering the game takes place over 10 years. He only spent 1 in the Free Marches. Makes you wonder though how constant companions will be throughout 10 years.

[The Hardest Thing In The World]

Nathaniel Howe is indeed a very good character, wouldn't mind him adventuring with Hawke in DA2(although that would require me to forget that I already knew him from Awakening).

How about Sten's long trip to Par Vollen? He would have to go through the Free Marshes before leaving. Or Maybe  Wynne's trip to the North With shale depending on the ending of DAO.
