So another interesting topic favorite class (both Jedi and regular) to be in KOTOR
I personally love the Soldier/Guardian build, but need to try Scout/Sentinel still

I always went with Scout/Consular. It had a good feel to it and really packed a punch at the end.

If you aren't interested in weapons specializations then scout as a base class is hard to beat if you stay around 5 levels or less as the feat selection and attack bonus is roughly equivalent to that of a soldier and the bonus feats are awesome.
As for jedi classes I think it really depends on where you want to focus:
Defensive force powers I love guardian since you will be buffing and fighting with a lightsaber or blaster. Highest attack bonus you can get and the gap closer (force jump).
Offensive force powers consular all the way for the highest possible saves. You're a freaking force powerhouse if built properly.
There are some special builds I like that require scoundrel or sentinel but over all I never really cared for either class sentinel especially always seemed weak to me.

Scout / Sentinel.
Scout has good feats when started and alot of good skills too. Sentinel has most of skills, also it's like middle between Guardian and Consular. Basicly if it's done right, it's very easy class to play what can do alot alone without help from other team members.

I'm fond of Scoundrel/Guardian for the sneak attack goodness and armor class bonus from Scoundrel's Luck. There is also something hilarious about watching my short Jedi fly through the air, chopping things apart effortlessly. Scout/Guardian is pretty fun too, and unlike the previous combination she has the repair skills to fix HK-47. When I want to play with blasters or focus on Force powers, I prefer Scoundrel/Consular. Paralyzing or stunning opposition with powers and then wading into melee or blasting from afar with pistols is fun and effective. That is, when I don't just blast everything to smithereens with Force powers alone.

I usually play as a scout/consular with the scout only getting to level two. That way I have more force powers and force points

I always went for Gaurdian. I usually mod it these days so I have only Gaurdian levels. With the correct stats you can make a Gaurdian only slightly less effective in the force than a Consular and retain melee ability.

I prefer Soldier / Guardian, but emphasizing wisdom over all other attributes, thus giving me Force Powers similar to a Counselor. Points go into Heal and Persuasion and nothing else. It makes for an awesome character.

I prefer Scoundrel/Consular for Dark Side characters (I like them to be more Force focused and manipulative), and Soldier/Guardian for Light Side characters (I like them to be more combat focused and up-front).

My Revan was a Scout/Guardian (pure LS in both chosen powers and attitude) and it worked out really well. Scout as a foundation gives decent skills, and Guardian perfectly matches my preference for melee/tank characters.

I've always prefered sneaky/spell caster characters so Scoundrel/Consular has always been made to order for me.

I did the Scout (to level 5) and Guardian build. It worked out great! I got alot more skill points and Implant and resistance feats for free with just a few less vitality points. Well worth it, IMO.

Ah, my scout/guardian. I think I'm about to play this great game again. I remember when I discovered the old KOTOR guide at the old boards. It's amazing how much more fun the game is with a 5/15 build.

My first Revan, LS male, was Scout/Guardian, and as several people have said, was a great choice. Skills were good, and melee damage was good, and there was plenty of Force for Lightning.
The next time I played was the same. The third time I played as Soldier/Guardian, which in sheer terms of melee damage is awesome. Right now, I'm doing this again as DS Male Scoundrel/Sentinel, which, while only on the first planet after Dantooine is giving me more skills than I usually get at the end of the game with other classes. As for Consular, I have not played that in KOTOR I, though in KOTOR II it happens to be my favourite.
Really, my favourite class is Scout/Guardian, great combo.

LS Scoundrel/Consular was my favorite. Stasis+Speed+Flurry never gets old. DS Scout/Consular would be a close second.

Scoundrel/Guardian. The scoundrel's persuade and security abilities help imensely during the first half of the game. Instead of balancing out the character to be stealthy however, I go straight for a tank build. All my attribute points go into strength. I let armour and ascessories lift the rest of my stats. This allows my character to be skillful and a strong fighter at the same time. Once I become I Jedi, I chose Guardian because of my play style. I prefer melee combat to powers since attacks to more damage. I use force powers when necessary, but won't be helpless if my force bar runs low.
