Hi!
I have DA;O installed and also bought Awakenings so I have tried installing it also.
What happens is the serialNo. screen appears, then the Patch 1.03 installs, once that is done;
InstallationFailed' screen appears.
No actual explanation or anything.
I have turned off all background programs and still no success.
The forum search hasn't found anything similar either.
Thanks for any help that can be provided and any sensible suggestions!

What OS are you running? From the look of the window, I'd say XP, but I might be wrong, especially if you're using classic mode on Vista or Win 7.

Did you set the installer to run in compatibility mode, and to run as administrator? I've found setting compatibility to XP Service Pack 2 works well.

hey i had this problem message come up too, but the game still runs ok it seems (still doing just origins though). Do you think when i get to actually doing the DLC ill get a problem?

Im having a problem with the stone prisoner DLC too - some guy on ebay sold me an xbox version code telling me it was cross platform. I see no way to download it to my pc.

I'm pretty sure that DLC are platform-specific and can't be transfered from one platform to another one.

id like to hear from EA, as no1 seems to know for sure (been googling for hours). but the company that they are they just let the community carry on being confused about it.

Not sure about the DLC, but are you talking about an install failing on Awakening?  If the Awakening install failed, it shouldn't impact Origins at all.  And if you can still play with the Origins disc in your drive, chances are Awakening did fail.  Once you've "upgraded," as it were, your new play disc has to be the Awakening disc for both Origins and Awakening.  If you want to make sure Awakening is playable, just click "New Game," and you should see a pop-up window that lets you choose either Origins or Awakening, or click on "Other Campaigns."

yeah my game is stil run from the awakening disc, so im assuming it has worked. although the game is very glitchy and buggy for some reason, but i assume thats down to rush releasing.

just want to say thanks very much i will try that. you people on here deserve a medal for doing EAs dirty work, or at least some bioware points for helping so many people out.

If it isn't glitchy, it isn't Awakening :devil:  But I still have fun with it anyway.
