I thought we could use a different kind of topic around here, so I'm making a topic about romances.

I used to think it wasn't the case that Kelly would be counted as a romance because she had no sex scene before you go through the Omega-4 Relay, but after just finishing the game again recently I noticed that Kasumi has a Kelly specific line which highly suggests that she views Shepard and Kelly as a couple. What's important though is that there's a flag for Kelly being saved which allows a line like this to trigger. If I understand it correctly, as long as a flag exists for it in the save, it's possible for it to be used in ME3. What do you guys think? How likely is it that Kelly will be counted as a regular romance going into ME3?

She's also a big, gray smoothie.  Perhaps that quality is desirable in bed.  I wouldn't try it, I don't think that liquification cures scale itch.

the thing that annoyed me about her character, if you didn't romance anyone in ME2, is the constent stalking after the suicide mission

I only did the dinner date option so she'll feed my fish
I know, it's a shallow thing to do, but I really hated running up to my cabin to feed them after every mission
or having to flush them, if I forgot once

It's a good thing I actually saved Kelly, or the baby reaper - representing the ascension of humanity - may have contracted a genetic surprise. Harbinger would have a lot of explaining to do - Reapers might think he cheated on humans with an abnormally good-looking varren.

I really wish there was some way I could persuade her to feed my fish, without having to flirt with her awkwardly.

Well I meant more of the fact you're not helping her with daddy issues. I don't remember her ever sleeping with anyone, so I don't know where you're coming from <_<

Did we play the same game? Kelly was implyied to be the ship ****. Even Kasumi says she was shocked the second she came on board, that Kelly hit on her. Kelly is a nice girl and all, but they dropped hints through the entire game that she was a bit easy.

Implied does not equal fact. Someone can be flirty, but not be a ****.

But seriously, I wish it didn't count as you romancing her if you just invited her to dinner so she would notice the fish tank. I had no idea that this happened until I did it with my "Not romancing anyone, damnit!" character and now I can invite her up to my quarters.

Hehe. You'd think buying fish was mandatory. "OMG, I have to feed them!?!??! KELLY!!!" I wouldn't have minded an option to order her to do it though.



I want Kelly to be an evil shapeshifting alien or something (stress on "or something". Maybe one of TIM's assassins). Because she is literally too good to be true.

I liked Kelly a lot and she interested me more than any of the squad romances, the idea of having a romance option that wasn't part of your crew but was a simple NPC was an interesting and creative take on it. Unfortunately, they didn't explore it at all.

I did appreciate the subtle NPC additions with romantic implications left to the imagination.  They weren't limited to Kelly - Shiala and Gianna Parasini had their moments in ME2.
