Why I hate Tali

In Mass Effect 2 she was a nervous virgin blushing evertime the commander even spoke to her, her infatuation with the commander literally defining her personality. This seemed to negate whatever small character development there was for her in the first game as she matured in the mission and became fully of age. At the end it seemed, although still quirky she was more confident and was ready to become a productive member of the fleet. It seems that despite being sent on missions with deadly commandoes and being one of the few survivors of the geth attack she still seemed similar but worse than her worst points in the first game.
What is worse, she is willing to risk her life to f*** a man on a whim just because she finds his position and his physical appearance attractive. Showing how messed up her priorities truly are. Instead of working on the ship to make sure it is fully ready for a suicide mission, she finds someway to have short, disapointing sex with an emotionally crippled zombie.

If you really want my respect though you'll post this in the Tali thread and then passionately defend your position whilst implying that Talimancers are pathetic losers who spend all their time writing lousy fan-fiction.

Ahh... evidence that you are just a petty troll. Wasn't sure if you were truly before, or if you were just really that fascistic.
I was gonna just stay silent and let the OP have his opinion.

Tali is a very in-depth character.
I think Tali is one of the weaker characters. Perhaps because she has no real personal stake in the mission and she doesn't have enough conflict with the other characters. She shines best during her introduction with Jacob and later her confrontation with Legion. Other than that she's just... well, too nice.
Perhaps she'd be a better character if her antagonism towards the geth was taken a step further. Instead of instantly disliking Admiral Xen she could support her, perhaps at Shepard's objection. Furthermore, her loyalty to Shepard should be in question no matter what. When talking to Wrex in ME1 Tali says that quarians are expected to remain loyal to their people even when it is "difficult".

Don't like a character cool, won't see me making a thread about all the characters I dislike, ( Jacob, Jack, etc.). Clearly they did something right if so many people like her but do what you will.
Her part in the first was small, and in the second they just make her entire character "clutzy innoccent virgin". I think she is meant to be like, 25 in ME2.

1. If you were hours from a mission you may not survive, what would you want to spend your last peaceful moments doing?
2. How do you even know she's only attracted to him for his appearance and stature?
3. Obviously your just another hater that wants the attention of the Talimancers and others in your clique. You obviously need a job or a hobby to occupy your lazy mind with.
Ultimately your arguement is without any good point.
If you bother quoting this than you're more of an idiot than I thought. I won't be back to this thread to view. Have fun talking to yourself. K, thx, bye.

I do agree with some of your post OP (at least about ME1) but there are worse characters you can rant about I think.

I understand, but it's all how you look at it. During the first game she showed no sign of liking you whatsoever, other than thanking you for not being an ass. In the second she had already went with you through then entire first game and all the events. Then leaving you for two years, she would have possibly developed some type of emotion for you. Yeah she might have taken a liking to you a little fast, I can agree. But people who like her already liked her from the first game (majorally). Yeah and I belive she is 22. That's pretty wack though considering Shep's like 36 or something I think.

She developed some slight feelings for him during the events of Mass Effect 1 (she says so in her romance), but she didn't act on them because of her status as a quarian. And in ME2, she's 24 years old while Shepard is 29,Chim3ra wrote...

1. But she spent valuable time, not just pre suicide mission, trying to find some special medicine to get into shepards pants.
2. Because they literally having nothing in common, spend little time together and she even admits that she is attracted to Shepard because he is a "dashing commander"
3. It's called procrastinating
