She's 24, how is that too young. Also Kelly and Miranda were much more just booty calls then Tali by a large margin. For god sake Miranda screws Shepard in the engine room, where almost every room in the Normandy has a window looking into the room. Also Liara is much younger in personality then Tali, that didn't stop many people from sleeping with her in ME1.thegreateski wrote...
As much as I like Tali . . . she's not a person in ME2. She's a booty call.
A FAR TOO YOUNG booty call.
You can say her age is whatever but she has the personality of an adolescent.

I think they went too paragon with her, so to speak: in ME1 Tali was strictly neutral compared to most of the rest of the cast (where Liara was generally the purest Paragon ally, then Alenko and so on). While that made her paragon in regards to, say, Ash or Wrex, it put her more Renegade than others.
They dropped too much of her Renegade elements: the unapologetic support for Quarian actions to shut off the geth (a position softened in ME2), her thrill at such rule breaking as stealing the Normandy. I, at least, always got the impression that ME1 Tali was a girl brought up to be the respectable pride of the Flotilla, but deep down wanted to rebel and run loose in the freedom of being a renegade. The kind of girl who might make a protest about killing space monkeys because she knows she's expected to, but can't do so without a hint of laughter in her voice.
Tali would be far more interesting if you could have a decent Renegade relationship with her. It's what makes a Jack romance path possibly one of the most unique in the story, and can even work with Miranda, but for Tali it's either 'drop her for being sick' or something so watered down it might as well be Paragon.

Just to keep it quick and to the point, I more agree with the OP than not. Tali does easily come off as a mooning starstruck Shepard cheerleader with about three basic states (Shepard fan, Quarian loyalist, geth hater).

Now see, I can buy into this. I like this. I agree with this. Tali is not renegade friendly, unfortunately. I agree with the bit about ME1; it was nice to have someone actually snap back Mr. Spectre.

Stop being offended that I'm offended and stop offering zero productivity to either side of the thread.

I think that may be a little more of a gameplay thing, but yeah. I suppose having a renegade option would certainly add to the roleplaying aspect of the game. (I'm a hopeless paragon player though, so I couldn't care less tbh

So coming here and countering arguments in a fair and calm manner is bad?
