In a videogame, you as the PC must save so many people that it becomes impractical to say a person's need to be "rescued" by the player from a certain situation implies incompetence or weakness.

You save countless other characters in the game. Ashley/Kaidan, Liara, Jack...

But based on first impressions:

HOLY ****, JACK JUST KILLED ALL THOSE PEOPLE

HOLY **** MIRANDA SHOT THAT GUY RANDOMLY

HOLY **** , SAMARA JUST BRUTALLY KILLED THAT GUY

HOLY ****, GARRUS IS BATMAN

HOLY ****, GRUNT JUST ATTACKED ME

HOLY **** THANE JUST ASSASSINATED THAT ASARI 

HOLY ****, LEGION IS BADASS

HOLY ****, CAPSLOCK IS ANNOYING

Garrus, Thane, Samara, Grunt, Wrex... you can pretty much say you saved every character.

I mean if you think about it even Shepard needed saving. I suppose I'm to believe that makes Shepard a weakling too.

I'm not saying she was only designed for sex apeal. She'a a pretty deep character. But you can't honestly believe her outfit was picked accidentally.

I am just saying, she is not the only one who got that crap, only reason why people poke at miri because she is the most noticlbe(sp)one in the game because of her outfit and ass shots, however if you look deeper alot of characters suffer from sex appeal or there for fan service. Not to mention Bioware does not know the diffrence between sexy and trashy, if they did they would have made miri sexy, not look trashy in her white outfit.

Tali had already been introduced earlier on, before the recruitment. Giving her some super-badass thing to do on second entrance would just be redundant.

I dont exactly recall how you saved Wrex, Thane, Samara and Grunt but ok.

Wrex: was going to be arrested bt C-sec.
Samara: Was going to have to break out of prison, and likely be killed by the guards.
Thane: Planned to die on his mission.
Grunt: Tank was going to have his tank gassed by whatserface.

Wrex basically told C-sec to **** off. He still kills Fist anyway.
Samara: What guards? There was like two officer in the station and she has just killed some of Eclipse's best soldiers single-handed. I dont think she would have fallen.
Grunt wasnt he awake when he "saved" ( more like salvaged) Had he been awake he wouldnt have need Sheprd's help.

i do not like the fact that shes been genetically engineered to have superior mental abilites and *ahem* physical assets. i like even less the fact that she flaunts around in a suit thats waay to tight
i appreciate her background and i respect what shes been through but i do not like her as a LI
