Can you check that on pc? Never knew ... but who wants to know it anyway, if you don't die; you're not playing ME2 like it's supposed to be played (at least in my book). You're either playing at low difficulty levels or you're only fighting safely behind cover. Turn up the difficulty and say hi to the enemy in person - shotty is nice way to introduce yourself!

I don't get it ... it's a single player game, and you don't respawn.

So dying = game over.

If you reload, you're rewinding time, so you never died.

I disagree that if you don't die often you're not playing the game right. I like playing on Insanity with NG+ and track "how well I do" by the number of times I die. If I die a LOT then I'm doing something flat out wrong.

Example: When I was first playing a Soldier on Insanity I would just charge as far forward as humanly possible and give the enemy a dose of the Revvy. However I would also often get overrun and die when I shouldn't. Just hanging one single level of cover further back increased my efficiency greatly as I had time to either switch weapons, reload, use AR to run away if needed, etc.

Also I would say that if you die a LOT as an Engineer [maybe some other classes] you're not playing the game right / well.

EDIT:  Ok if you're playing a Vanguard and you don't die a fair bit then maybe you're playing "wrong" :)

When I play Vanguard I (almost - damn bug :?) never die - its almost impossible to die as long as you keep charging around. If you die a lot with a Vanguard than you are doing it wrong.

All other classes can be played aggressively - and yes that means dying once or twice (at least) during a mission. You can fight safely behind cover and stay alive quite easily, but at least for me thats very boring. If you want to max damage output you'll need to get close to the action asap. Its risky and yes you'll die occasionally - but if everything works out; it'll give quite the adrenaline rush :)
