There are so many vampiric shades and stuff around gorion that all my characters get level drained. Its quite annoying, does anyone know a strategy for this bit?

You may use Sunray from Daystar sword and Helm of Brilliance if you have them.

Priest spell: Negative Plane Protection

It would be helpful to know your exact party composition. If you only have Jaheira, casting some summons (Deva, Elemental Prince) and using negative plain protecion is of course crucial. I hope you have the Amulet of Power which can make one character immune to level drain as well. You might also still possess the Daystar, a longsword which allows you to use Sunray once a day. Other possibilites of dealing with them include massive aoe mage spells or you could go to pocket plane and take a cleric with you for the encounter, letting him use sunrays, fals dawns, turn undead etc.

Inquisitors don't get Turn Undead, too bad. Otherwise Keldorn could have solved the problem rather easily. Does your conjurer have HLA's already? If he does, Dragon's Breath will make this fight propably a lot more easy.

I would substitute Viconia for Valy for this battle, since she will turn the Master Wraiths allies against him and give you, the conjurer, time to pierce his magic defenses and then let Sarevok and Keldorn clobber him. Also I would call in cannon fodder before the party walks up to the old temple. The whole idea is to set up a situation where he is on his own against 5 summons plus your regular party.

Also, that encounter is well good if you're romancing Viconia.

There's also the ultimate cheese: protection from undead scroll. Spells like the level 5 mage spell chaos can help too. As others were saying some summons can help. Jaheira should be able to summon some fire elementals for example.

This MERKS them i just tried this, lauched three all at the same time they all died instantly. Yes if you in this fight get an all cleric party and sunray your arse off.....
