You cuddly litlle pool of misinformation, you. Tevinter is the only place in the known world of men where mages have extra rights. Anfd guess what, they rule Tevinter again.

Official spokesperson for Tevinter tourism, I take it?

Maybe the Libertarians can help Hawke achieve kingship in the Free Marches in exchange for lesser Chantry oversight.

considering that the Free Marches is like lots of city states I wouldn't be surprised if in some cities the mages have more or less powerr and freedom than in others

hmmm, to me it sometimes made sense from a roleplaying perspective. my mage for example disliked the chantry and following to that andraste because of the treatment the templars gave to him. my dalish elf didn't feel better, for she made the maker and andraste responsible for what happened tp her people.

sure, you can base the action on roleplay but then don't be surprised that even companions attack you or that if you brag about it in a tavern people will form an angry mob and lynch you =]

This is largely why my first ever play through I kept searching for someway to help the darkspawn instead. People like that are the reason the world is so messed up.

you know what, you are right, the elven and werewolf case actually is a good evidence of mages gone out of controll because noone kept them incheck

No, it's a case of a single man refusing to let go of his biases against a group of people he really knows nothing about because of an imagined threat he feels they pose.
