k, so in other words the image doesn't really mean much to begin with as it is an early concept what still got/gets changed

It elaborates what Matt was talking about with regards to the races, nothing more. They've undergone tweaking since then, though I guess you could use it as a barometer of the changes if you like.

Well I hoped atleast the hight scale would matter but as it seems it doesn't, one of the few changes I wouldn't have mind was to have elves be slightly taller than humans, also I am slightly confused by the nose of the elven girl although I think it looks as it does also because its just an early concept

do the clothes hint at the new "cultural styles" of the races?

because as far I can see it if it does then qunari become more slavic/russian based, elves more french/latin based, and dwarves more norse based while humans stay mostly gallic inspired with perhaps some saxon influence

Are you missing the not-purple, no goat-legs, iris-and-pupils, no hooves, and smaller horns part? Let's not have another fantasy species with horns.

Are Qunari ashen-skinned now instead of bronze? I have to admit I like it better that way.

Also elves are giving me serious Na'vi vibes.

I like the look of the Qunari female. Very stern and athletic, just how I imagine a Qunari lady should look.x

Looks really great.

My only concern is that the figures are all...er...how shall i put this?...Scantily dressed?

I don't REALLY care about that, I mean it is a concept art and all but if this means DA:O s going the ME2 route and Hawke is going to have female companions fighting hoards of enemies with hardly any armor on and her rear end hanging out....well then I will have a problem.

That is concept art to show the new character models. Clothes would hinder their silhouettes. I'm sure they'll be dressed in game.

You see body-shape better that way.

The problem would be bioware sacrificing realisism for half naked women so that their 12 year old fanboys can have something to **** off to later in the night.

You know when you make this kind of argument you will get the "It's a game with dragons and magic realism dosen't matter.." argument ..just you wait and see.

 It's just to show the body shapes that would normally be obscured by clothes and armor. Have you never seen concept art before?

It's not realism, it's just common sense. Nobody is going to fight in a battle with a bikini on. It's just common sense. Just as much as gamers should expect Ferelden to posses gravity.

OK OK. Everyone forget my complaint. It's just that after playing Mass Effect 2 I was a little worried DA2 would do the samething. I guess I'll just shut up until I see it in the real game.
