I'll take either Flemeth, a Qunari chick, or an Elf girl, please.

at the same time

That sounds physically and mentally painful and probably would lead to the implosion of Hawke's soul.

Said this about a hundred times before.

I want Bioware to FINALLY give me a female romantic interest who comes off as independent and capable and does NOT have some crippling issue she needs me to fix for her. Viconia, Ashley, Jack, Miranda, Leiliana and Morrigan. All nominally independently-minded, sometimes even aggressively so. All eventually turn out to just wanting someone to hold them, being secretly all squishy and insecure under the thorny surface.

I Bioware could bloody stop doing that (giving them the crippling weakness, not trying to make them come off as independent and confident), they'd make my decade and finally give me an ultimately worthwhile RI in one of their games.

I don't remember Ashley having a "hold me" persona.

I just want to state that I'm a woman and I play both as a female and male character(s).:)

Mhari was a good example but she could have been more vocal about her thoughts IMO.
LI for my male character:

- A warrior or tank. She's very formidable with a blade.
- Is independant but not so much that she would refuse help from men and let her pride get in the way.
- Has a good mix of feminine and masculine qualities without going from one extreme to another.
- Is clever.
- Is not crazy. lol

As I'm talking to my fiance' about this topic, he made a very good point; It's not necassarily what both he and I would want, but rather discovering someone new.A different type of female LI would be refreshing. While Leliana and Morrigan were good romance options, we both felt that they were a little sterotypical.Which is understandable because you're going to run into that whether it's in a game or in real life. But, we think that someone who is atypical would be exciting. And what better way to kick off a new installment than to present her (and also him for us ladies)?:wizard:

And yet I'd want it anyways.

A female Qunari Warrior who enjoys more aggressive straight forward responses for males only, A loyal to circle of magi male Human Mage for females genders, Female Elven Dual Wielding Rouge with secretive background and a lingering possibility of betrayal and hunted for unknown reasons, and finally an Insane Dwarven Warrior for males and females

Maybe this game can have love interests that aren't total skanks(Zevran included). Seriously Leliana, Morrigan, AND Zevran were all pretty ****ty, even by todays standards. As for what kind of female companions I want, I would personally like a badass Amazon like warrior princess in my group. I would also like spell caster/healer similar to Morrigan(though less ****ty), and an elf druid/ranger. For diversity I would also say they should add a dwarf.

That would be very bad.  I hardly ever play a male character.  Female Qunari for both genders please.

Female Qunari indeed. I just mentioned this in the art thread. She can be a renegade who threw away the Qun and fights.

She would make Sten steam in rage. He would get even angrier once he accidentally stumbled upon Mike Hawke spending "quality" time with her.

"U mad, Sten?"

One chick from each race...except Qunari...muscle girls are nasty. All I really want is a love interest who is actually interesting, and like able.

Leliana was great, but she doesn't know the basic rules of having a conversations: "Don't mention politics and don't mention religion". If I hear "Maker this!" or "Maker that!" "The Maker wants me to come with you!" "The Maker loves the magical ashes of a dead woman!" she's worse than a Fundie or a Jehovah's Witness. I would love a militant Islamic companion who would do nothing but spout obscenities and scream at her.

...and don't get me started on b*tch witch....

I want a small quite girl with medium/short hair and normal proportions and dark hair.

Or someone similar to Neeshka from NWN:2.

The minor change I made to your statement highlights another very important point.

After seeing new concept art there needs to be a female Qunari love interest.

We need to get a petition or poll going or something lol.

Well..you have point. But I was basically saying the same thing well to me. But yeah since Qunari Mages seem to be in a strange limbo in Qunari society. I wonder if she was mute since Sten mentioned, if you take him the Circle of Magi tower, where they cut out their tongues. o.O

Well if she is allowed to fight while not being a renegade, maybe she has both sets of equipment and the Qunari were unsure of where to place her in society?

Bioware could go to groundbreaking places with this kind of backstory.

Arishok: "These people.. they are not quite Qunari... but not Tal'Vashoth... We need a name."
Ashkaari: "Hmm... a name, you say...? How about something that ends in -nari?"
Arishok: "Your wisdom impresses me, Ashkaari... I shall call them ---Redacted--"

Qunari teenagers aren't allowed to have fun, let alone pilot giant mechas.
