I hope she is  perfectly sculpted sex
object that exists as a clever marketing ploy to sell copies of the game
to stinking hordes of teenagers and romantically hopeless adult males.
Bonus points if an illusion of "depth" can be maintained by giving her
an archetypal personality and drowning the sex scenes in obtuse,
rambling dialogue trees.

Is that spit in your coffee, or are you just happy to be posting dude?

BioWare get enough fellatio at the hands of the gaming press; I'd like to think that I serve as a force of good, capable of colourfully pointing out flaws in what most assume to be an impeccably polished facade.

Force of good? Well OK, but you know... if it's really just that you were dating a girl and then she dumped your **** for a guy at Bioware, that's a perfectly understandable reason to give them hate in a thread of this kind.B)

Wait, I just realized something: should there be a female qunari love interest, doesn't that mean she'd likely be including the accessaries Sten alluded to? Such as armor and a hot prodding iron?

Ouch. Although some people might be into that... I don't know.

One of the game makers said Sten was just messingwith morrigan so yeah.

Hate?  It was a simple observation/deconstruction of the nature of romances in BioWare's games.  They all follow a very strict formula and it'd be nice to see a game that either doesn't have romances, or subverts our usual expectations around them, rather than just giving players what they want.

@searanox: I can understand that. It would be nice not to have a game that doesn't have romance but more than likely there will always be romances.

I don't see the point of removing romances from the game, it would do nothing more than ****** off the people who want them. The people who don't want romances simply pick different dialogue choices.

@Dileos: You have a point which is why I said more than likely there will always be romances. I'm one of those who personally don't care about romances if there or not one bit. If there I'll take them if not..well okay.

One word: Handholds.

Wow...

Just...

Wow...

This is the one I'm going to end up remembering for the next eight months. And then seeing a female qunari in the game is gonna remind me of it.

Not sure how I feel about this...

Handholds. That's what the horns are for.

Yea Handlebars was one of my first thoughts. >__> Certainly that says nothing about my frame of mind or character. No sir ree.

OT: Hmm Well I would want someone who would be kind and compasionted to my character, but aslo wouldn't break down or be weak just because my character isn't at their side all the time. Sort of a girl with a compasionate and romantic side, but still be able to be indipendent too. More than anything though I would like to see some depth. Make her more than simply a romance. Make her her own character, not just some slab of meat there ment to be a romance.

We usually have to choose between the "bad girl"/ice queen and the sweet/pleasant/rather naive girl. It would be interesting to see a mix between the two, ex. a quirky, nice, flirty young woman who turns out to have a hidden agenda after all, cares about the protagonist, is essentially decent but also tries to manipulate him. Discovering this, the player could choose to play along, to get really angry or to try to change her.

As for the looks, I'm voting for a blue-eyed, long-haired brunette - think Zooey Deschanel or Natalie Imbruglia... Posted Image

New Answer:

Qunari female. Stoic, hardened warrior-poet, exile from her people, who warms up to you as you talk to her.

Followed by human-on-qunari sex. Don't forget the armor!

Mary Kirby already said that Sten was just yanking Morrigan's chain.

There's some good answers here. For me, I'd like to see someone confident and intelligent who actually does not not have a problem that needs solving, but rather is looking to get to know someone better through a series of quests rather then a simple one quest and your in bed with me thing.

I think I'd also like to see someone who decided to tag along for fun and actually did not have a good reason for being there. They just see you and decide they want to follow along on their own, not because their mother or a dream told them too.

It'd be a nice change of pace to have someone who actually made the main character want to chase after because the character was interesting rather then another damsel in distress type.

I want a dwarf to love and squeeze and hug and call George.

Also, a Qunari female with Sten's attitude would be fun. I'd always wondered how Sten would react to someone falling for him...

if there were no romances+sex scenes in dragon age most of the fat basement dwellers who play it would lose all interest in talking to their companions

There are really people who want a female dwarf as a romance option? Really? O.o

She should be strong and intelligent, but also compassionate and not something as cold as Morrigan. Hm...DA needs someone like Tali, I guess.

Nah that sounds decent, but if this hypothetical character ends up with Tali level of fan creepy-ness I'll have to hunt you down:ph34r:
