Yeah, but your boyfriend doesn't give two shakes about the shoes so why make him suffer through listening to you talk about it? :P

My boyfriend is kind of like Alistair, actually, so he smiles and nods while I talk about shoes and I smile and nod while he talks about stuff I don't care about.

Actually I've gotten him into shoes. He will offer input on girl shoes when we go shopping together and he is into guy shoes for himself.

Now I imagine a guy in high heels.

Thanks.

I'm into guys shoes just fine. In fact, there is a particular style of wingtips that I want but have not been able to find. However, womens shoes are ridiculously complicated and subjective. I've seen two pairs where I thought they were exactly the same except for a minor detail or two, but apparently according to the girl I was with one pair was great for her dress while the other pair was horrid. I swear they were almost identical.

I've gone shopping with my cousin once, she insisted that the red shoes were superior to the other red shoes due to the named branding on it. I looked closely and it was a little icon on the button of the heel and asked her if it was really worth the extra three hundred dollars, she agreed and was like "omg if I don't get these shoes I'm going to die" and such.

I'm still scarred by the waiting four hours as she debated on what shoes to get - blue or red. It took her four hours until she decided to just got both and spend 600$+ on them and then as we were walking out she wanted to stop at the other shoe store in the mall.

I had to restrain myself from yelling "No!".

When it comes this stuff coming up, I always put my faith into lady luck and guess cause I have no clue.

She usually lets me down and takes all my money... :crying:

They're there for curb-stomping.  Smaller surface area = greater PSI.  100Lb girl wearing high heels that are each 0.25 square inches a piece equals ~ 200 PSI per heel.  Hence why I would rather dance with a girl wearing tennis shoes over fancy high-heels... they're deadly. :innocent:

I sympathize.  Shopping for a formal dance was possibly one of the least pleasant experiences of my teenage life.  No wonder why I ditched senior prom after dealing with junior prom.  Ah, high school <_<

You will probably not believe me when I tell you this but there is actually a difference in quality of materials and construction method between cheap and expensive shoes.

To a certain degree you are correct. However, there is no such thing as a shoe that is truely worth more than a $200+/- outside of what's printed on the label. Same thing goes for all types of clothing, with prices adjusted accordingly for the particular article of clothing (suit, gown, shirt, blowse, etc.) The fact of the matter is that beyond a certain point it's all identical except for the tag.

I never went to any prom, nor do I believe I missed anything. I'd rather just play Mass Ef- *bursts into the tears*

She was wearing them to ONE dance and she even didn't feel the difference until I told her I accidently gave her the cheap brand, suddenly she realised they weren't as comfortable and she needed the brand ones.

Edit: I still don't even know why she got two pairs.

No, they just help with his pelvic thrusts.

D'awww.  There there.  *pats Dave on the back*  Have a Sten bromance, and you'll feel better.  Sten needs no prom to love you ^_^

Ok that is pretty funny. At that point I'd just take the cheaper ones.

I never went to my senior prom either. I sort of wish I'd gone but eh (it conflicted with something else schedule-wise). Although if you gave me the choice in 2000 between going to prom and playing a game from THE FUTURE I would have played Mass Effect happily.

He might be positively Alistairian by Qunari standards, you don't know! Don't judge him! ;)

Did anyone have Sten with them when they first went to go to the Circle tower and had to talk to the Templar at the boat ramp? That was hilarious. Just take Sten and Alistair, leave Morrigan and Leliana at camp. And don't use persuade or intimidate conversation options.

What, with the cookies? Yes. "There was a child--a fat, slovenly thing--in the last village we passed. I relieved him of these confections. He didn't need more."

Sten was my favorite companion, after Alistair. :D My personal favorite scene with him is taking him up to Haven once your his "kadan". My heart just melted.
