In that case I'll repeat one of my requests: A female chevalier from Orlais; the opposite sex version of your classic "roguish swashbuckler"; someone like Julie d’Aubigny. (seriously, I encourage you to check out the link if you want to learn about one very interesting historical figure)
2) Or a scrappy, smart talking rogue girl that has a tendency to get into trouble, (maybe she's a klepto, likes to gamble too much, wanders off into locked rooms while you're in the palace, that sort of thing) and relies on you to bail her out or get into trouble with her.
3) An introverted, bookish, mage girl who is slow to warm up but once she does you're the person she attaches herself to.

Yes, but first she needs to preserve their bodies. If possible.

I'd want a legitimately well-written character with their insecurities being subtle. I thought it was WAY too obvious in the way it was handled in Origins with Morrigan and Alistair. Angst is okay, but I don't know a single person who bares themselves like those two did. People lay out their insecurities in the things they don't say, not the things they do say. The writing could be a bit more subtle here. Morrigan is manipulative, but a truly manipulative person doesn't openly talk about how manipulative they are all the time.
Way too often when I'd talk to Morrigan, I'd feel like I wasn't talking to an adult (more like a fourteen year old who thinks they've got sh*t figured out), or that I'd have to agree with things that I'd think were completely retarded to get more approval. For instance, Morrigan values survival above all else, but I believe that there are fates worse than death out there. It would be cool to press her on things like that more. So yeah, it would be cool to see someone with an interesting worldview that is more developed than that of a loopy churchgirl who sees God everywhere or a crazy swamp witch.
I want someone who is determined and will stick up for what they believe. Even though I found Morrigan to be annoying and somewhat poorly written at times, I totally loved her ending. She had her own agenda (just like everybody else) and she stuck with it, no matter what. It made her feel a lot more real. In fact, I loved all the crisis points the various Origins companions had.

Well in a way Morrigan did have the mindset of a 14 yr old who though they knew everything. As essentially the only bit of world knowledge she had was either from her "brief forays into a civilized wilderness" or from her Bat-S*** crazy mother. And through careful dialogue choices you could kinda question Morrigans beliefs without disapproval. But it usually always ended with "I agree (+10 approval)" or "You stupid. I hates you (-10000 approval)"
This thing in the first moments annoyed me a little, but after a while I find it right..
I mean, you aren't forced to play in order to make your companions happy or to get their approval no matter what.
If you disagree with their thoughts why do you have to say "I agree"? It's correct that you answer in the opposite way and get disapproval.. This thing prevent you to romance him/her? It's right. It's difficult that you could fall in love for a person which thinks/acts everytime your opposite way.
Maybe you decide to lie and to say "I agree" because you are interested in have some fun with him/her? It's correct also in this case. Did you never pretend to be a little different/hide yourself when you have to impress someone? Especially in the first moments? You could also lie and say Morrigan "Yes I agree" "You are right".. to bed her and after you reached your purpose to discard her.. And you can do the same thing also with other LIs.. It's not so unrealistic
PS.. Let's obviously forget that this thought can be totally nullified by the gifts

Why don't Bioware pander to the taste of chubby chasers?
Waste of money. No joke, I asked a similar question a year or so (can't believe it has been that long) before DA ever got released. That is their platform. Romances, being the time [read:$] sinks they are, must appeal to the majority of the audience youare pandering to. This is why they seem to fall back on the girl next door / ice queen archetypes so often; it covers almost all mainstream tastes in two broad strokes. I personally suspect this is also why ME has yet to see a proper homosexual relationship, but that is a whole different topic altogether.
For this reason I will honestly be shocked if there is a dwarf romance for either sex regardless of how much I personally want to see it happen. The only way to dampen my ferver for a dwarf romance is if they opt for one of the stock dwarf cliches: walking punchline (Oghren...) / stoic grudge-bearing epitome of blanditude. *GROAN*

Not happening, but my Awakening character was happily married to Anora and I really liked the Velanna character so it would be great if that were an option for Hawke. However, given the fact that pretty much everyone can die in Awakening, it's unlikely.
