My prediction about the "10 years span": we start as a teenager in Lothering "demo" then skip several years to real game.

My prediction is that we will start as a young teenager in the game in Lothering, get to know some of the background story of DA1, new players learn basic rules, and then the Blight arrives. Depending on the choices made during the first level(yes first level I will call it since the game will be combat orientated) our character will become a rogue, a mage or warrior during years that we will skip from first to the next level. Thus we will learn that 10years span was overhyped.
