So, I'm very glad to see that BW is attempting to highlight the differences between rogues and warriors in DA:2. The fact that even the skill trees were identical between the two in DA:O was a little offputting. That said ...

One thing that I really enjoyed about DA:O, that was different from any other game, was how I could play a warrior based on DEX with an archery specialization. I loved being able to do this! The flavour of a warrior is of a forthright, honest, direct fight who doesn't utilize stealth or cunning tactics to win, and this is exactly what I wanted to play. The underhanded ninja feeling of a rogue is just not my cup of tea, at least not on a first playthrough. However, I find playing the same tank-like fighter class in every single game has gotten really old and predictable.

It was really neat being able to play a lithe, ranged fighter who wasn't a rogue in DA:O. It was something that I'd never been able to do before, it that made it really novel and a lot of fun. I've been amazed to hear about how much archery apparently "sucked" in DA:O because I was killing up a storm with my build, using warrior-specific and archery talents in sync.

I'm wondering if this is going to be possible with the classes getting more defined as they are. Will we still have the ability to play classes in unconventional ways? Is the day of the unique, dexterity cased warrior over only moments after it began?

TL;DR: I liked playing a graceful, elegant fighter without playing a sneaky one. Will I be able to do this in DA2?

I actually feel the Rogue and Warrior classes felt sufficiantly different in terms of two-weapon fighting. The warrior would use the activated talents while the rogue made use of momentum and positioning. They played completely differently. Not sure I agree with you about the archery tree. What warrior talents do you think combined that well? IMO a bow was good to have for a high dex warrior, but only for the ranged dps, archery talents seemed completely uneeded, other than Accuracy in awakenings of course.
