I continue to believe, however, that it is foolish to choose to make a series of games with different protagonist when you have the ability to create an epic storyline like Bioware is doing with Mass Effect. Just doesnt make sense to me.

Addressing "not finding morrigan"... at the end of DA: Origins it says she was sighted at the frostback mountains heading north? if i remember correctly... so yes you do have some direction of where she is going....
And i think when it comes to the child.... throughout the whole game, as flemeth says morrigan is purely using you unfortuantly... you got flemeths grimoire for morrigan... meaning that she can "eat" her children to gain her power now just as flemeth did with all morrigans sisters.... morrigan throughout the game is power hungry, i see it as no suprise that she will consume her god child for her own power... THEREFOR becoming a god herself in essence...
So i do believe they will continue her story as the new "archdemon" if you will.. its just how they do it and when they will do it.. simple as that
Oh and also to add. morrigan persists on saying that flemeth is still out there and says severel times im prepared to "kill her again and even again if i have to".
so flemeth will also be part of this story....
Who knows, in a DA to come you might play as morrigan hunting flemeth or visa versa??

I think a lot of us have been avoiding this discussion, since most topics on Morrigan go in this direction and it has already been discussed endlessly on the forums. Besides this thread is about finishing her story, not about her intentions.Shadow_Archer wrote...

She's seen traveling west through the Frostback Mountains... There's a huge amount of land on the other side of the mountains however, at least the size of Ferelden itself.Shadow_Archer wrote...

If I remember correctly, and its been a few months since I last did a full playthrough, the only time Flemeth tells you that Morrigan is using you (for her dirty work) is when you arrive at her hut and tell her that you know how she has been extending her lifespan. The major question there is who is telling the truth, is Morrigan truthfull about what she found in the Grimoire (ergo that Flemeth will take over her body) or is Flemeth truthfull saying that Morrigan is only using you to get rid of Flemeth. Many of us believe that Morrigan didn't lie about the body-snatching since we found the robes of possession... Of course there's no reason Morrigan can't use you to get rid of Flemeth and be truthfull about the body-snatching...Shadow_Archer wrote...

Morrigan also says at some point that taking over the body of another to extend your lifespan is unnatural and she even claims she would never do it. Whether you believe her or not is of course again in the eye of the beholder.
I would also like to point out that it has been more or less confirmed that Morrigan does indeed care for the warden either as a friend or a lover (depending on the choices) through "The Revelation" comic series( http://blog.bioware....velation-comic/ ). Which could have an effect on her in the long run.
There's one large (possible) flaw with the theory that Morrigan will take over the godchild to increase her own power. Being that every piece of information we have regarding souls / demons invading bodies indicates that no two souls can inhabit the same body. Considering the child carries the soul of an old god, means that if Morrigan would take over the child she would replace that soul with her own, which wouldn't make the practice much different from using a regular child.
She also promised no harm would come to the child, but again whether you believe this is up to the player.
To me, this solution also seems very predictable and like I stated possibly flawed... which is why I expect they'll build in an interesting twist somewhere along the road!
But again lets try not to turn this thread into a discussion about her reasoning etc... There's several threads on the forums talking about that already, some with very interesting and in-depth ideas and theories!

One of the coolest things of Mass Effect is that the story continues and people are on the edges of their seats for the next installment to find out how the story continues!
Dragon Age had the same feel to it, with all the choices and stuff, as if they were planning more for the warden's story!

Not mine
Nothing against it, but I've read many series of novels were the "protagonist" isn't a person but a country/empire/family/etc. and loved them. Issac Asimov's "Foundation" comes to mind. It can be great if done well.

Good analysis. I'm with you. Hope closure will have option for happy ending for my Warden, even if he has to die for her (and/or their child).

There is a couple of good fan fics out there, but we need more!Jicano wrote...
perhaps a novel would be the best way to close it. Not necessarily a novel about the warden finding her, but rather a novel about what morrigan does/what happens to her after DA:origins. Im sure the bioware writers have a set story about what happens to her, so they could easily hire a writer to publish it in a novel.

Dammit man, Laidlaw comes in and instills a little hope only for Darth Gaider to bust down the door and force choke the hope out of the poor Morrigan romancing Wardens and Morrigan fans.
This is the key to Dragon Age: Gaider and Laidlaw locked in a Balrog-and-Galdalf-like duel as we plunge through the burning heart of Thedas.
Someone should really get on drawing that, and try to work a chrome griffon playing an electric guitar into the background somewhere.

I don't mean to sound dickish, but at least having Morrigan show up in DA2 only to have Hawke deal with her is a bit like having some randow Jawa confront Darth Vader in Empire Strikes Back instead of Luke- the past history between the Warden and Morrigan is prime stuff to be played with in the future IMO.
So, you're saying I should cut any references to Morrigan from DA2? Wow. That, sir, is a brave thing to request. It's like unleashing the hounds!
At this point all I can say is that I personally do not believe the Morrigan fans will be disappointed by what the future has in store.

What I think is most likely and the best option for DA2 is our warden joining hawke as a companion
That presents a lot of logistical hurdles, such as the warden not having VO and being generally open to interpretation.
What would be cool, however, is in DA3, Hawke joining up with warden, the personality tracking tech taking the data from your DA2 Hawke and using it to forge his/her personality as a party member.

Ooh. I like this idea.
As for the 'Warden's search for Morrigan' thing: I can wait. DA3? DA4? They can take their time...as long as it happens.
