It's a totally different story. You can't complain like this. It's not one linear story and they're just continuing it in DA 2. The name is Dragon Age 2 and not Ferelden Adventures: Grey Warden part 2. There's a lot going on in this age of the world. They're just showing a different angle of things going on in the 2nd release.Nighwolfa wrote...
Well i agree they left it on a limb, if they lock it they lock it, but its silly leaving it like that, kinda ruined the end of the game for me. I was happy when i heard DA2 was coming out, then devastated when they announced they were changing all the chars.... I want the conclusion and maybe finish the storyline. its like making a film leaving it open to a sequal then changing it completely, doesnt make sense :/ Bioware please consider atleast finishing the storyline of one story before beggining another. I stoppped playing world of warcraft breifly to play dragon age I love it because of the storyline. But if things proceed the way they are, the storyline for me is ruined. -regards.

What would be cool, however, is in DA3, Hawke joining up with warden, the personality tracking tech taking the data from your DA2 Hawke and using it to forge his/her personality as a party member.
Ooh. I like this idea.
As for the 'Warden's search for Morrigan' thing: I can wait. DA3? DA4? They can take their time...as long as it happens.
You said it, bro!

Hey, I never thought of that! It would tie up the Morrigan romance without some awkward in-game reintroduction of the warden. And those who didn't do Morrigan's ritual could just ignore it. I bet it happens.

Nah. As much as I liked the novels, I'd rather 'play' through any such even involving the Warden & Morrigan.
If they made it a novel, they'd have to 'canonize' some things, I think (Warden's gender, Warden's choices, etc.)...I guess that alone would make it unlikely.
A novel about Morrigan's past (i.e., pre-DA:O) would be nice, tho'. That and/or a Leliana's Song type DLC.

I'm holding out hope for a Searching for Morrigan DLC or one last expansion pack with the Warden to tie up loose ends from Origins...

(but not necessarily concluding the Morrigan story thingy...that character's too cool to have her story wrapped up in just one game, IMHO

I'm still hoping for DA3 being Warden-centric

I agree, I would love to see our Warden in DA:3, in the world our Hawke has shaped. Although I would love the over reaching theme be about the arrival of the God Baby and what happened to Morrigan (unlikely to happen, but we MorriFans demand it!)
I swear though if Bioware pull a:

I will nerd rage like no nerd had ever raged before!
BUT I WILL BE MANLY ABOUT DOING SO!

Every character is BioWare's. The game is BioWare's.

I don't mean to sound dickish, but at least having Morrigan show up in DA2 only to have Hawke deal with her is a bit like having some randow Jawa confront Darth Vader in Empire Strikes Back instead of Luke- the past history between the Warden and Morrigan is prime stuff to be played with in the future IMO.
So, you're saying I should cut any references to Morrigan from DA2? Wow. That, sir, is a brave thing to request. It's like unleashing the hounds!
At this point all I can say is that I personally do not believe the Morrigan fans will be disappointed by what the future has in store.
I sincerely hope, Mr. Laidlaw, that you aren't planning on making Morrigan a good person. I mean, it's your game, and you do what you want, but, why not do a little bit of a twist and surprise all of the fans? Make her cold, calculation, manipulative, uncaring, callous, selfish, and sociopathic.
