Hmm. Makes me think I should create a male warden so I can play through Morrigan's romance. I tried it once, but after the sex she was like, "Oh, you're leaving it up to me? No, I don't want to do it anymore. Haha!" I was sort of like, screw it. But if it has more promise than that, I'll try it again.

You really should give it another go and carry it through. Once you get her approval high enough, you see a whole different side to her and it becomes more touching than even Alistiar's (imo) due to how she starts out.

I don't mean to sound dickish, but at least having Morrigan show up in DA2 only to have Hawke deal with her is a bit like having some randow Jawa confront Darth Vader in Empire Strikes Back instead of Luke- the past history between the Warden and Morrigan is prime stuff to be played with in the future IMO.

So, you're saying I should cut any references to Morrigan from DA2? Wow. That, sir, is a brave thing to request. It's like unleashing the hounds! ;)

At this point all I can say is that I personally do not believe the Morrigan fans will be disappointed by what the future has in store.

...

I must take this quote to mean you know how bat**** crazy some of her fans are. And saying they won't be disappointed...is a tall order.

Hey I resemble that remark! Image IPB

I interpreted this quote as "Yes, we recognize the specific concerns that Morrigan fans such as Brock are bringing up, and that what we have in store for that story is something that fans who share those concerns will not be disappointed by."

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that's kind of the name of the game around here. Image IPB

Yeah, with Morrigan if you stop the romance with the sex, you're really stopping it before its even began. My only complaint with it is that the DR scene comes off as quite one size fits all for the Warden romancing Morrigan, but thats been discussed to death in other threads...

That's exactly what happened to me. I wasn't patient; I thought it was always going to be like that, so I romanced Leliana instead. I also turned down the DR, again just as a snap decision without thinking too much about it. Then when I died killing the Archdemon, and I read in the Epilogue that Leliana (presumably) kills herself, it was just too much.

Next time through, I stuck with Morrigan, took the offer, and never looked back. That second playthough has been my canon ever since.

Aww, we see your big, hairy, orange...beard, Dave, and you think "there's a guy who hates things without beards".

Well, shows you how much I know.

All women on Thedas have beards, the chantry just has wards set around that makes them invisible to everybody. It's the only reason I love the DA:O relationships, Morrigan's beard is especially long.

I would have to concur. And, the alternative dialogue to "'Tis cold in my tent..." is way better if the PC can hold off until then.

Well this thread is certainly rather uplifting.

Why the hurry to finish her story - she could even use the same
means as Flemeth supposedly does and be / contain the spirit of
Morighan'Nan, the first ash warrior's cheat and later main opponent .
Who can tell if the whole mother and daughter thing wasn't partly a
scam?
In that scenario Orzammar and Kal Sharok would learn that there
are worse things than darkspawn and loosing the legion of steel
- Morighan'nan's revenge in, say, DA 5, would strike them unprepared
and like a lava rain...

There is too much potential in that npc to waste it already in the 2nd
part of a series.

I really want to see Morrigan and the Warden's story finished in an expansion for Origins. The way I see it, if Bioware thinks that such a story has a truely viable audiance, and they belive that they can tell it well, they likely will. So I remain optimistic.

Morrigan has warned the warden on more than one
occasiom (provided you didn't ditch her early)
- not to get too attached to her
- she may not always prove worty of the friendship
and she already looked back at romance with a male
warden / friendship with a female warden as events
of the past, at the Denerim city gates
.
I say BioWare will provide us with good resons for
that for a long time to come in some encounters
throughout the series, although maybe none of them
will involve the warden as a pc / npc.

Exactly. Why please many with a plot point they want to see return from the original game, and make it so we don't have to put up with that cow.

Personally, I think the game should auto-pick Anora as queen, so we don't have to deal with Alistair and his "feelings".

I really hope they live up to this. as the dragon age community has voiced, they want more :)

not the whole community ;) ... while I wouldn't mind to see Morgian again I could easily live with her future being more of a mystery, which personally would be far more interesting. However as long as the DR doesn't become any sort of default choice ... :crying:
