I'd like to see an end for the Warden and Morrigan. As someone mentioned before, it could follow a scenario like him finding her and the child to say a tearful good-bye (you know, the whole drama-movie treatment--In Uthenara playing in the background, lots of tears and apologies, maybe throw in some snowfall) and then go wandering off into the Deep Roads to die. In an expansion at the very least, if not a sequel down the road. It'd make for a memorable ending, I think.

Personally, I'd be happier with DA3 involving my Warden--if it's possible. But realistically, with the whole VO thing I don't know how they'd work the Warden in. I guess they could just give the Warden an ambigous voice that changed with whatever answers you picked to forge his personality, like they did with Shepard. NPCs could call him Warden, or by whatever surname your PC had in Origins. Don't know how realistic that would be regarding Bioware's technology and budgeting. Or their plans. Probably nada. That, and we all know how well most of the fans would take to the idea. Like ice to a frying pan.

Anyway, that's just my twopence.

It seems like Morrigans story is a no win situation.

Either they make it a DLC and everybody whines it isnt in a full game.

OR

They make it in the full game and everybody whines because they're respective Warden didnt make her all Pregz.

Either way, whining will be in effect.

At this point all I can say is that I personally do not believe the Morrigan fans will be disappointed by what the future has in store.

Well, that depends on what kind of Morrigan fans are we talinkg about.

Some people like Morrigan because she is "hawt" and some others like her because of the character they saw through the eyes of the Warden.

The great thing about DAO companions is the relations you could build with them while explorign their personalities. The bastard prince who starts off as a whimp and grows a spine... the assassin who tries to kill you and then becomes your friend... Sten and his honor code... Oghren's confession at the gates.... the defrosting of Morrigan and so on. All that while playing your Grey Warden.

You could play as a female and have her call you "sister" or you could play a male and have a child with her.

If you belong in the former group of Morrigan fans, then, great. You won't be disappointed. You get to stare at her boobs on the improved graphics engine.  But if you belong in the group that explored her character though the Warden and managed to "defrost" her, then brace your self for major disappointment. Any emotional attachment you had to the character is gonna disappear when you realize that Hawke and Morrigan are just two strangers that know nothing about each other. Furthermore, you as the player are going to feel so disconnected when the dialogue wheel does not represent the things you want to say to her. Instead of asking "whys" and "hows" the only options you are going to have are "hello" and "who are you".

The worst thing you could do to Morrigan fans(IMO) was to toss a big cliffhanfer at them and then give them a new character to resolve her story.... and you just went ahead and did that, didn't you? Sorry, but I'm not interested at all to see what you have in store for her when you take away the character that made her what she is.

If you can't resolve a storyline properly then don't resolve it at all.

Just my 2c.

Pretty much. A shame, too. I'd rather have liked my Warden seeing her one last time--and the child for the first--in a scene that oozed 'Lifetime Moment'. Complete with Randy Newman's We Belong Together, followed by a montage of all their happiest moments.

Then we cut back to the fact he's going to die, and feel like our souls have withered.

It's the internet.  We whine about everything.  And make death threats.

I would like to state that I neither participate in nor endorse the makeing of death threats.

But most wardens who are noble and all that **** would probably slay the god baby before it becomes a threat, further limiting the sample size for that plotline. Unless you'd want to force every single player to go through a "I love you." moment.

I'm not to sure about that. Morrigan claimed that it would be born without taint, so it might not be any threat whatsoever.  My PC would more likely try to make sure it was raised so as not to be a threat.

Its what happens when something becomes too cool and has too much potential. Just look at the Matrix sequels as an example.

But quite frankly I could care less if its DLC or main game, I'd just like some hint as to whats next with her. As I liked the whole romance option with her, even though she was tied to her goals you really knew she held a soft spot for our warden. And had she not been as tough as she was, she prob wouldnt have left him. But god baby or no, Moar Morrigan. Which we've been promised.  ^_^

hmmm, we know the old gods were kind of evil, if im remembering right. anyhow, old god means that the baby can be tainted, become an archdemon, create a blight and many many humans die...

Something about it being called "Dark Promise" and involving the soul of an Old God, while trying to believe the daughter of Flemeth who kept her motivations secret the entire time and knew this was coming from the very start, while also using a spell given to her by Flemeth seems to lead me towards it being a threat to Thedas in the future.

Evil according to the Chantry.  All things concerned, I'm inclined to take anything they say with a grain of salt.  At least.

I may know all that, but my charater would be a bit more emotional than I would.

In that case, the I Love You moment could be the after the Warden sexed her; he'd tell her he cared about her--until five seconds ago. Then he'd administer a sword-abortion. After that, he goes to kill the Archdemon, dies, and then the DLC could be the Warden killing Morrigan over and over again in the afterlife, much to the Maker's delight. See? It all works out.

as far as i know the old gods were some kind of dragonlike things that talked to the tevinter mages. the consequences were rather..... disturbing and finally led to the creation of the darkspawn. anyhow, wether evil or not, the tainted=archdemon point stands, and besides: does anybody here trust morrigan that she would educate the child not to abuse this power??

Not every whine is senseless..
Of course.. Most of them are.. But in this case the problem is real, or better it could be real

Many players are just asking/worried about the story they built and ask only for it to be completed/respected.
Morrigan's lovers/fans ask to see a proper conclusion, Morrigan's haters/regardless of her ask to see their decisions respected. Both of them are right, and they have to find a solution that is good for everyone

Anyway.. I am confident they will be able to do it (I trust they wouldn't create such  a situation if they didn't already know how to get out it)
But if they don't do it, well  whines will be justified then...

Old gods were neutral as far as we know. Making it even more perfect for god baby to be a PC. As our chars usually always start that way. But like I said, no matter how cool they take her story. Its gonna be considered a fail because in any situation the massive army of internet trolls will be flaming about whatever context the situation holds. But I wouldnt let that bother me, unless the unlikely happened and it did suck O_o

Although they are sealed underground and beckon the Darkspawn even before they become Archdemons, that much we DO know. Who says the child won't suffer a similar fate with drawing Darkspawn who seek to corrupt the child?

I agree. I thought of her as Darth Vader from a Luke perspective thinking, "there is still good in her."

That's flaming? I need a third opinion and maybe a link to a dictionary explanation.

Anyway... hmm... constructive criticism... don't be as selfish... hmm... be less selfish? Watch the grammar and the spelling - sto-ry-line as opposed to stor-line; separate "as" from "long"; "morrigan" with a capital "M"; "your" instead of "ur". Dunno what else, for now.

*to himself* 'Constructive criticism regarding a comment two phrases long... rotflmfao'

I think this qualifies as a constructive argument, don't you?
