I created a poll to see who plays their gender, who plays a different gender, and as a bonus, who does hanky-panky with the opposite gender:

It should be a fun social experiment. And by that, I don't mean reality TV show.

Bryy...why are there two Female/Female options?

Also, I took Male/Female or Female/Male to mean "male who plays as a female" and "female who plays as a male", respectively.

This.

Also, "gender roles" are usually used in the sense of "what roles do each gender play in society", not "what gender do you roleplay as".

There is no "i play as both genders and bonk everyone" option.

You also need to specify what the gender before and after the forward slash means. I assume it is I am a ___ and tend to play a ___.

Of course lots of people will play both so it should be what you most often play as.

Also, I noticed for the ME equivalent of this poll, the majority seemed to prefer playing female characters, whether they were female or not.

Women can do everything men can do.

With breasts.

For me this was the first game where that applied. The reason was I couldn't stand the male voice actor. I find him fine in ME2 though, not sure what the difference is.

Complete screw-up.

But provocative.

You can't, or you could cheat later and change the responses around to fit what you want it to.

You have to make a new one, sorry!

...I don't like the "play both" option. I do end up playing both genders, but everyone (well, almost everyone) has a preference. I mean, when you make your first character, what is it?

It's fun disagreeing with everything! I see why the trolls do it!

Same. Although, DA2 will be different because I already have my 2 males and 2 females planned out, and I expect to be playing through with each of them at an even pace. Although, your first character is always your Test Drive character.

Posted this as a comment on that second poll, but you're still not dividing your options correctly. The first 4 options don't have anything about "banging" at all, and each should be split into two.

Male playing a male banging a male
Male playing a male banging a female
Male playing a female banging a male
Male playing a female banging a female
Female playing a male banging a male
Female playing a male banging a female
Female playing a female banging a male
Female playing a female banging a female
...plus whatever extra options, like "play 'em all, bang 'em all" or whatever.

Ah, but it's only important that pluralities are not multiplied without necessity. There is clear necessity in this case.;)
