Hey so I got a new graphics card for my computer and when I booted up Dragon age I saw that the hotbar at the bottom of the screen had shrunk...tried messing with the graphics and the resolution but nothing fixed it...any suggestions on how to fix this? getting irritating having only a fraction of the hotbar slots I had before

You should be able to drag the edge of the hotbar with your mouse to open more slots. If you can't drag, check to see if the little lock on the left side is "locked" and click on it to open. Then you should be able to drag it to the edge of the screen.

I did that and it is at the end of ther screen...it is just a lot shorter than I remember it being before I changed cards...could a change in the resolution cause that to happen? the screen also seems a little stretched

From Dragon Age Launcher, select Configure and, in Video section (left hand menu), uncheck Disable Aspect-Ratio Correction if you are using either Widescreen (16:10) or Widescreen (16:9) for Aspect Ratio.

tried doing that too and it still wont make the hotbars as long as they were...could it be my monitor?

Are you sure you're actually running the game at your monitor's native resolution?

Not sure all i know is that before I changed cards everything was cool...but I had to play the game at lower settings to avoid it slowing down. Now I can play it at higher levels but the bars got smaller...Im thinking it might be because of my monitor

I'm sorry, are you saying you have fewer slots available, or the bar itself is smaller?  The game's interface is pixel-based, so if you're running at a higher resolution, the interface, including the hotbar, will appear smaller relative to the rest of the game, but you will also have more slots available since you can fit more on-screen.

If you have an issue with the small size of the interface due to an high screen resolution, you may try this mod:
FtG UI Mod - More Readable Fonts and UI

I'm currently playing in 1080p and this mod is perfect to enlarge the interface to match my current resolution.

sorry i guess its harder to explain the problem than I thought...there are less hotbar slots than there were before...it seems like the whole screen has compressed a little...everything seems closer together..im running it on a high resolution so i dont know why its looking like this all of a sudden

If none of the suggestion fix your issue, may be you can post an screenshot to exactly show how it looks like?
