Bah, everyone who says they're not going to buy ME3 if it has a new squad is just fear-mongering. Especially because it are the most hardcore fans who shout this the loudest. I bet my ass that every single one of you still would buy ME3 even if it would have an entirely new squad. Of course you would still be b*tching about it on the forum all day long, but in the meanwhile you're still going to buy and play the game, like the damn hypocrites you hardcore fanboys are.

I will take you on the bet because I won't be buyoing ME3 if that's the case. If more then two new squadmembers are introduced and Bioware says ntohing concerining alot of the old characters, I won't buy it because I know what is going to happen. Great job making your self look like a moron :wizard:

If Bioware decides to create a completly new squad, how many of you would still fully enjoy or buy ME3?

I would honestly reconsider buying it if this happened, what about you guys?

I don't know. ME3 is looking, at the moment, to be my last BioWare game - assuming it releases after TOR - and I might put it down as an unconditional buy just for the sake of completion. I would expect to see some new squad members, but I'd also expect a wealth of the old ones to come back.

I'd like to see Jacob and Miranda dropped from the roster (they felt like superfluous characters who were there for the sake of being there), along with Thane and most likely Zaeed and Kasumi. Grunt might go back to Tuchanka, and I'm unsure what would happen to Legion. There's certainly reasons why most of your squad could depart, LI or otherwise. The only ones I seriously expect to see in ME3 are Tali and Garrus. Partially because they're from ME1 and ME2, and are both LIs, but because I think Garrus and Tali are now too attached to Shep to be dropped.

So no, I don't think it'll affect my purchase of ME3. And I just went off on a tangent.

I am going to be nice, but this is complete BS.

First Miri won't be droped from the roster because like it or not she is a fan fav. She has alot of fans and has the most loose ends, she is also the hardest to kill, out of all the characters in ME2 she has the  best chance coming back.

The bolded bit, I'm fairly certain Tali has a much larger fanbase. Anyone who's been on this forum long knows this, simply be the sheer number of posters and thread sizes of here multiple thread(over 13k pages).
But alas, that's irrelevant. The point is, if fanbase doesn't help Tali/garrus, it won't help anyone else.

The ME2 squaddies have the same chance to come back. They can all die, regardless of who dies most easily or often. You're fooling yourself if you believe otherwise.

Either all LI's come back, or none. That's the *only* fair way for Bioware to treat the situation.

Tali has the largest fanbase on this forum but more "casual" gamers probaly romanced jack or miranda
And miranda still has a place where her story can go She quits friggin cerebrus at the end, it's an obvvious foreshadowing into her future (what would writers do with her if she ain't with cerebrus?) And they don't have to bring back all LI's because one comes back Liara is most likley coming back that dosen't mean thane has to (gonna be dead anyways) I have no proof to asssure anyone she'll comeback but you have no proof to say all have an equal chance to comeback or that if one LI comes back they all have to

First bolded bit is total bull you're just hoping is true. lol.

I didn't say anything about proof aside from the fact that all the LI's in ME2 can die. This means that they each have an equal likelyhood of coming back. The outside factors are; realistic story, and fanbase.

by that logic, Both Tali AND Miranda are likely to come back, both by fanbase and by story. However, this logic shuts out Thane, Jacob and Jack, which leads to my final statement;

It's only fair to bring back all the ME2 LI's, or none. If they brought back, say, only Miranda and Tali, EVERYONE else who didn't want to romance them, or just didn't like them, would be essentially screwed over.

This statement had nothing to do with providing proof...it's an opinion. You should learn to read and interpret better.

Bioware is not likely to do this.

I'd buy it. Not the day it came out though; I'd wait a couple of months...maybe a year. I wasn't all that attached to the ME 1 squad, save for Tali and Garrus (who came back). I loved Wrex and was sad to see him go, but I knew that he had bigger and better things to do.

If they just go and make it a whole new squad, I be very P.O.'ed. Oh, I'd STILL buy the game....just probably not until a year or so has gone by.

Full squad? Too much to ask for.

None of the squad at all, and writing off everyone with meh reasons?

It would damage my opinion of the company. I would buy it anyway just to see how the story would end but they would lose my future business.

This!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will buy ME3 the day it comes out but i would think twice before buying future games.

At the end Shepard does nod at everyone which would imply that they'll all be back.(Assuming they survive the suicide mission.) Like "This is the crew" and their going to be with Shepard till the end. I'm certain they'll bring back Ashley/Kaiden and Liara. Not so sure about Wrex because you do have Grunt and Wrex is busy down in Tuchanka. I think Wrex will be playable at certain situations though.

You could've had all of your ME1 crew in ME2 if Shepard didn't die.  Now that he doesn't die in ME2 the crew won't fall apart like the original did. Plus you can continue the game AFTER the suicide mission.  It's not like any of them asked to leave or anything.

Yeah, simply put, it would render the whole suicide mission thing pointless if they didn't come back anyway. Surely the pay-off for the whole suicide mission is that they return in the next game? That said, I still think some of them would be better served as NPCs than squad members. I found Wrex much more interesting and valid as a character when he becomes the head of the clan than I did when he was just standing on the Normandy talking ****.

To add on I do think they'll add some more characters.  No more than 2.  I'm pretty sure Shepard and Company will meet some new people on the way.

Whether I would enjoy it depends entirely on how it's executed within ME3.  I think the fanbase assigns way too much value to the status of "squadmate".  Not every character needs to be or remain Shepard's hired muscle.

Not trolling, but are all the people that are saying they won't buy it about 15 years old? You mean you won't ask your parents to get it for your birthday? I really can't understand how you could have committed so many hours to playing two games of a trilogy, even participate in a forum based around the same games, but then you'll just refuse to continue the trilogy at the drop of a hat. I mean, playing the game sans Tali (or whoever) is surely better than not playing the game at all. And don't think you and the odd other irrationally pissed off guy can somehow boycott a company like EA. Jesus, you couldn't even boycott your local pizzeria, never mind a multinational like EA.

Bioware would have to pay ME to play it, as they would have invalidated my previous $65 dollars.

I'd still buy the game because i'm invested in the story and i wanna see how it ends. Although if they got rid of all the old squadmates and replaced em with new ones(which will likely be thrown away after the trilogy) i wouldn't enjoy the game that much.

True some characters in ME2 have things to do after your mission but i hope they let some of them stick around. I really hope to see Jack return as a squadmate cause it would give her character more time to grow. Before Jack met Shepard she mostly drifted so technically she doesn't have any place to go.
