I'm glad to say that Jon Irenicus is one of the greatest all time villains. We need your vote to make him number one!

My childhood nightmare, Giygas is in there too >_>

If you're joking, it's not that funny.

If you're serious, turn around and walk until your feet bleed. Never turn around, never look back, never return. You do not belong here. This is not the place for you.

YOU lighten up. You missed like four references I set up for you. Okay, not four, just two. Still.

Well I've never seen/read/heard whatever you're referencing, so your post came across as SUPER SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Should one of those (elided in my quote for brevity) sentences have been "You should not have come to this... place."?

Was Irenicus really that great a villian, though? I mean, maybe he was a real badass on paper, but what they finally got around to implementing was a little shallow and wholly unbelievable. His master plan, quite frankly, ends up making almost no sense, and he turns into mostly a victim of circumstance in enacting his great revenge.

Given what's actually in the game, I think he probably would have been far more effective if he had been pulling strings from afar than getting caught up in elements that were there solely to direct the player. And he doesn't even stand alone as a villain--they have to trot out Bodhi all the time just to advance the game (and she's given almost no exposition, so we have to take it on faith that she's doing bad stuff, I guess because she's a bad lady).

He's a great character and has some of the best VO in the whole series, but the all-time greatest villain? I just don't see it.
