After playing through the game and thin about what I did, am I the only one thing that the story really is not about the blight? There is no campaign against the darkspawn, you don't really have an offensive against a Darkspawn postion, neither you defend some place from it, most encounters are just like random skirmish with random monster.

It feels like the story is about fixing Delnerim problem rather than fighting the blight, and 2/3 of the problem is caused by Loghain. The mage tower, redclift, and the whole fiasco in Denerim were not supposed to happen. Sure the warden might still have the dwalf and the elf to sort out their stuffs, but then again if most of the mages, templars, redcliff soldiers weren't got slaughtered and the armies of the nobles are not divided, plus the troop in Ostegar, and all the other Grey Wardens didn't die it feels like the situation could have been resolved early.

And the final confrontation is kinda ... short. I was expecting something like maybe after you gather your force you will try to take back some area, push the darkspawn down south to the wild, then chase them into the deep road and face the Archdemon in its lair ... or something like that. My reaction when I killed the Archdemon at the end was ... "that's it?" Posted Image

Since most of my afford and time were spent trying to clean up Loghain mess, I think he's the true antagonist of the game while the archdemon is more like a "for show" stuff. Anyone else feel this way? Posted Image

this is not the first fantasy story that uses some great threat as the background bases for a setting. v certainly is the main villian in this game.

Yes, the story is not about the blight. It's rather how you fight it.

But remember that Dragon age will most probably have sequels, so eradicating the darkspawn in the very beginning is not an option.

the blight was almost secondary to me. iwas more interested in logain. the blight didnt get too much epic screen time. it would have been cool to actually SEE them sacking lothering

That's why I'm saying, more or less it's the iconic struggle of the story, so I would like to see something more involved about the blight. Ending it in a single battle kinda feel underwhelmed, espeically the last dungeon is shorter and easier than most of the one before that.

I guess I meant I wished to see more afford was put in to put down the blight to do it credit.
