As for Spells, the first two spells in the Telekenetic line are a must on my lists. The first 3 Glyphs are extremely useful, as are the first 3 spells in all the Primal tiers. The first couple of Hexes can help boost magic, and Mana Clash can make all mage encounters a quick fix, but is somwhat costly as the first two spells in that line are rarely used.

Actually, just typing this post gave me an idea. Wynne popping Cleansing Aura, Morrigan and PC-mage running blood magic, and Alistair tanking; I'll have to try that on my next playthrough.

Try Blood Mage + Arcane Warrior. Dont activate combat magic, activate shimmering shield, Blood Magic -> Blood Wound. Can Blood Sacrifice ranger pet to heal if needs be but usually not needed. See enemy mages, Mana Clash them if they are not affected by Blood Wound XD

I heard AW archer or something was also imbalanced. Know anything else like that? Or how to set up a build?

Personally I only find AW with either BM or SH imba. Archers... they are a bit too slow for me, their skills has a longer lag time than most spells so I dont like them - I mean one Arrow of Slaying takes longer than casting Mana Clash and the Arrow of Slaying will not KILL an enemy mage while the Mana Clash has a very high chance of killing the enemy mage straight out.
If you are asking about Awakening classes, I do not know. Am holding back on Awakening until the next patch because I am under the impression that there are some bugs regarding Awakening and patch 1.04..

You don't need to boost constitution outside of equipment boosts. Only use blood magic if you are low on mana or want to use blood wound or other blood magic talents. If your health gets around 50%, then deactivate blood magic and heal up. With blood magic, your mage can have a near infinite mana supply, without needing to rely on lyrium potions.
Btw...my lv 24 mage had base constitution along with the bonus from the lifegiver ring and he wore a Tevinter Mage Robe, not Reaper's Vestments.

Cleansing Aura is good as a battle regeneration spell, or an after battle refresher. But I found it differed in effectiveness on a fight to fight basis due to enemy actions, so test for yourself.

What spells should a Healer mage have? When should I use Cleansing aura?
I find Cleansing Aura very useful against the Archdemon and other battles when you have NPC helping you. If I am lazy, I basically just turn on Cleansing Aura, summon the Dwarvens and just walk around healing everyone including the NPC... tis cheap

Good healer spells are heal, regeneration, group heal, along with the crowd control spells. When and if you decide to pick up revive is up to you. I think the one time I used it was against the archdemon.
As for crowd control, I liked cone of cold, crushing prison, glyph of paralysis and blood wound. Mana clash is nice against mages, though you're purchasing a whole line of spells just to get it, and it's situational. The previously mentioned spells work nicely against mages, along with a well placed fireball.

I definitely suggest having Lifeward on an ally before battle or right as it starts. Start casting some spells from mana, but once you go under 25%, pop blood magic and continue casting. If you run low on health, use Blood Sacrifice on your ally that has Lifeward, so if he/she drops too low in health because of it, LW will pop. The reason why I suggest keeping a 25% mana reserve is for the potential necessity of deactivating blood magic for re-casting Lifeward, or perhaps a quick Heal/Group Heal.

Is there an item in-game that can revive a fallen ally during combat? Or a more potent potion that gives stamina instead of munching on a dozen deep mushrooms?
