I recently bought and installed mass effect on my pc. it downloads and installs fine but when i play the game during the opening video once it blasts through the mass relay it crashes my comp.
I have mass effect 2 and play it regurlarly so i know its not my graphics card......can anyone help?
Mass Effect crashes upon 5-15 minutes at the startup vid.

Do you get any particular error messages? You should probably try reinstalling the game and updating the patch. Maybe try updating your video card drivers if you haven't. Did you buy the game on DVD or did you download it?

i downloaded it via steam, and ive installed and uninstalled it several times, but ill look for a patch

Better off to get it on actual disk. You can get it for less than 15 bucks on amazon.com Give us an update.

If the Steam version can start up but crashes during gameplay I doubt using a DVD version will fix anything. The files aren't any different.

yesterday i downloaded the latest patch for it and it still crashes....plus i get alot of games off steam
