I don't support Shepard being in the movie in the first place, but I'll answer this anyway.
FemShep, though I doubt the same awesomeness would still be there without Hale's voice.

I fully support a movie based in the ME setting but not about Shepard, that would avoid the huge issue with having a canon forced upon us

Im with others. No Shepard at all. Period! I dont want to see another sterotypical male marine in space movie. I want to see a ME movie that can stand on its own without resorting to pillaging the game storyline.

The movie shouldn't involve Shepard at all. Instead it needs to be a prequel focusing on Liara and her research of the Protheans.

I'm writing a great Liara fanfic right now. It would make a great script for a potential movie.
She is being hunted down because she has a Prothean artifact wanted by a rich gangster.
At one point a group of hitmen break into her apartment while she is taking a shower. She has to escape before she can get dressed. About 1/3 of the story involves her running around naked. The last 1/3 has her working at a strip club to earn money for the initial funding of her Prothean dig on Therum.
It's the best story ever told!!!

female leads in action/adventure movies dont do so well, unless she is very hot and revealing.
Thats just how it works, action movies appeal to a young male demographic group, and we want a competent indiana jones adventurer, or a busty lara croft
